Really good Italian beef good hot dogs.

This place has really gone downhill since COVID. Plastic forks and plates, electronic kiosk to order food. The guy at the register was clueless of howb to do his job.

I would give 6 if I could for the food and amazing atmosphere. It was piping hot fresh, and delicious. Also it has a great feeling atmosphere inside. You won't be disappointed if you try this place out.

I always love coming to Portillo’s. My colleagues ordered burgers, hot dogs & fries, they’re good, but my favorite is the Italian Beef. Quality of food is always dependable & good.

It's a good place to go with friends or family as they have a large selection of options to choose from. Quality is decent, was better before the company went public.

Over the years, quality has gotten inconsistent from one location to another. This Portillos has remained one of the best for service and quality.

Elderly Women at the register was very rude and had a bad attitude. She was very abrasive while taking our order and made it seem like we were a burden. Overall very unwelcoming atmosphere

First time here as a New Yorker and I was surprised by it all! Buddy said it'll be an experience and food would be great. Glad I kept difference in hot dogs aside as the toppings were something I never considered from the big apple. Spin by as I'm sure it isn't on the East coast ?

"General Manager, Brian" at the Vernon Hills location, who refused to provide his last name to me, was extremely rude. Portillo's should be embarrassed to have him serving the public. He will kill business with his attitude. We placed a large order for a birthday party and he refused to honor the spice cake promotion, charging us 4X the amount, as advertised. Is this discrimination or false advertising on top of extremely poor customer service? Very disappointing. Taking my business elsewhere.

I know when I opened the bags and saw that Polish that it was old as hell! The fries were just as old and hard!! I haven't even looked at the cheeseburger yet and I'm afraid to do so this is ridiculous!!! $23 down the drain thanks for nothing portillo. I haven't eaten at a partillo in years and never again... What the hell!!!! I remembered the cake from years back, so I ordered it, and now I'm afraid to try it!!

Just occurred to me that I never left a shining review for the famed Chicago grill at this location. Guess I got used to going to the Gurnee location which is much closer to home in Beach Park.

That's always been the strong point at Portillo's is when it comes to Chicago style grub, they can't go wrong here and everything or anything you eat here is high quality.

Food has always been delicious whether it's their Chicago dog, big beef dipped, a burger or Maxwell St. Polish; absolutely nothing here ever disappoints. Prices have gone up especially after COVID but I don't mind a little Portillo's once in a while.

The venue with the old school vibe is always kept clean, customer service is always friendly and no matter how many vehicles are in the drive thru at any given time; they work fast to get you outta there in no time!

If you want stale bread, tough meat, and taste bad, then come here and order the beef. Use the drive thru, and they will forget at least the fries....
