I’ve been eager to try Mortadeli since it first opened, and after hearing so many rave reviews, I finally had the chance to stop by for lunch yesterday. Let me tell you, everything everyone says about this place is spot on! First off, the food is absolutely delicious. I've been wanting to try Mortadeli since they opened. I kept hearing nothing but good things, so I finally made it in today and was not disappointed. The food was amazing. I wanted to try it all, but I went with the meatball sub and pasta salad.
My grandmother made some mean meatballs, so my standards are pretty high - Mortadeli definitely delivered! Delicious. The pasta salad was also great.

My wife and I split the meatball sub and the “it’s a me, Mario.” They were both incredible. The meatballs were so tender and tasteful with the marina. The paste on the Mario sub made it very unique and evenly matched with the meatball sub. We had the lemon ricotta cookies for dessert and they were 10/10. I highly recommend trying this place because of the high quality taste

Based on the reviews, Mortadeli & Lounge is a hidden gem in Villa Park with a chill and welcoming atmosphere. The service is great, with polite and helpful staff who make customers feel like regulars. The inside is decorated with a cafe feel. The food is fantastic, with fresh ingredients made with pride. Sandwiches are very generous, overstuffed, and full of flavor. The Fat Joe is loaded with meat and fresh, though it can be salty. The meatball sub is huge and huge, with three large meatballs, but the meatball itself can be too salty. The pesto veggie sandwich and its a me mario sandwich on foccia bread are both full of flavor and huge. The panini are delicious with innovative and special flavor combinations. Desserts do not fall short, with soft and yummy chocolate chip cookies and a highly recommended cheesecake that is a light whipped style, simply amazing. Customers highly recommend checking out this little gem, noting the service, atmosphere, and especially the food are all amazing.
