“It's the best cafe in Waltonville. We (and many others) drive over from Sesser because of the good food, good service, and reasonable prices. Some small ramps on the door thresholds would aid in wheelchair access.”

“Got the seafood trio and everything came out fresh and hot and it was very good. They gave a good amount of food for the price. I didn’t get a chance to take a picture of my plate when it came out but this was how much I had leftover. The place was very spotless, and beautifully decorated. We had the opportunity to meet the owner and she was very nice. All the staff we encountered were great , the service was the best that I’ve received in a long time. This is definitely a place worth checking out!”

“We ordered food for 22 people. The day before I dropped by and left them a sheet with everyone’s name and order. The next day the food was ready at the exact time we had discussed. Everything was fresh, they helped me bring everything to my car, every meal was named with the persons order. And everything was reasonably priced. 10/10 recommend and will definitely be returning.”

“Super busy on a Sunday morning but we got here before the church crowd poured in so the wait was minimal. My friends went with sweet waffles with lots of sugary toppings and wow, they looked amazing.I chose something a bit closer to keto compliant, poached eggs and corned beef hash. “Went in with an open mind and this place KNOCKED. It out!!! Greeted immediately, my friend had been there before so we were going for a coffee flight. Upon conversation with the associate a mimosa flight was offered…on a Monday??! It was awesome as was our food choices…loved it. And they are basically a greenhouse inside…check out their plants!! P.S. you would probably have 5 stars but looks like some amateur spammers got you.”

“Buffet was really good. Was there on a Friday and there was fried chicken, meat loaf, fried catfish, popcorn shrimp, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, spaghetti and meat sauce and more. Salad bar and dessert bar. Good was all very good. But the people were really amazing. We parked in front in a handicapped spot and by the time I got on my knee scooter and got to the door, a nice woman was holding it open for us. We sat right in front and it was easy enough for me to wheel around on the knee scooter. Drinks were topped off regularly and we were checked on frequently. I recommend trying this place out.”

“My wife found Casa Raya on google while looking for a place for us to have dinner while on a long road trip. It was exactly what we were hoping to find and much better than we expected. We had different kinds of taco plates, Mexican guacamole, shrimp ceviche, and of course the complementary chips and salsa. The food was fantastic, the amounts were generous, the service efficient, and prices very fair for the quality and quantity. We make this trip from time to time and have found our go-to restaurant for lunch or dinner whenever we are passing through—and will plan out trip accordingly.”

“On a business trip, I found this restaurant on Google after typing "healthy food near me." Delicious food in a cozy environment. I've never seen food served with a plastic bonsai tree before. It added to the charm of this quaint place.”

“Solid all the way around--went in because it had the highest rating in the area (4 stars), and it did not disappoint. It appeared clean, decor was nice, and the service was attentive. The house salsa was decent--seems like 85% of Midwestern Mexican places serve house salsa that tastes more like marinara than salsa casera. This one actually had more flavor than the usual tomato, orégano, and tex-mexy cumin that you find in a lot of places. The salsa picosa (spicy) that I asked for was even better--homemade with a good amount of garlic and cilantro. For my entree I got the Pollo Cancun, which is grilled chicken strips on top of rice, covered with queso dip. The chicken was tender and tasted fresh, same for the rice and queso. As an added bonus, the corn tortillas were high-quality, chewy, and not falling apart, like the usual supermarket ones. Definitely my go-to Mexican place in MT. Vernon.”

“I applaud the owners here!! Great people great food. There was a miscommunication by the glo bingo that led people to think they couldn’t get in if you bought tickets on event brite. We let owners know and took care of it for us Amazing people! Places like this that do the right thing deserve the business so again I applaud the owners great food great atmosphere and also took care of our bill since we waited forever! “The name pretty much says it all. It is a sports bar and grill. With a jumbotron size TV. Great to watch any sports game on. Very laid-back comfortable atmosphere. I definitely recommend you go and give it a try. “Yes. Yes. Yes. Dive Bar with friendly faces and strong drinks. A bar that is dimly lit but clean. If you like a safe dive bar - this is your place. Hard but friendly people. Cheap drinks, strong drinks. Plenty of seating, poker machines, and a great juke box. Have a drink by yourself, bring your friends, or make friends - enjoy a simple place - nothing fancy here, come as you are. Great place to stop in and have a cold one. Parking is on the street or a parking lot next door.”

“Had a wonderful Breakfast. The server was ever so attentive and she made certain my guests were perfectly happy with the service and meal. Sits within the confines with a bar, a simple bar with the bare minimums. Do not have beer on draft and neither the ingredients to make a Dirty Martini nor a Manhattan; but, the servers make every effort to service quickly and keep an eye out for another round should ine so choose. Even have some slot machines to pass the time and add some change to one's pocket. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are served with the doors opening around 5:30 AM - especially great for those that may wish Breakfast before going to work or out on the hunt for Deer Season.”

“The food and service was wonderful. However the whole place needs a deep clean. It's not filthy but dusty and needs a good scubbing. The lattice work on the walls need to be cleaned, the mirrors and decorations all need cleaning. Eating in a less than clean environment is never appetizing. Housekeeping gets a 1 and whoever managed Housekeeping doesn't get mush higher.”
