Great experience with friendly staff. Glad they are back from the remodel. Love the baked goods from there.

The expierance was horrible there was bugs in the case where the deserts were and the food was gross that I couldn't even eat it. I would not recommend you going there ever.

Eh.. The hype surrounding this place was truly disappointing.. The food was no better than cracker barrel (which is what they are trying to be..) And the service was eh too.. The atmosphere was I suppose rustic? But it was hard to tell with all the cliches happening..

We had a party of 12 and not one meal was the same, everyone loved the food and service. Everything was outstanding. Thank you, we will return.

My sons burger bun looked like it had mold. They said it was burnt. I disagree. Unfortunately my son and I do know what bread that has gone bad looks like because it happens often at home. I also am familiar with what toasted bread looks as like and this was not it. Both our burgers were overcooked. In my mashed potatoes I found a small black semi solid piece of something!? Service was ok. Food overall subpar. Atmosphere was nice.

You get generous servings for what you pay. The food is excellent and I loved the decor. My friend and I loved what they had in their general store/bakery. We have a weekly breakfast club where we go out to breakfast places. This will definitely be a repeat restaurant!

Had a great lunch! Reasonably priced, food was very good and they do NOT skimp. Super friendly staff, everyone smiles and says hello. We didn't have to ask for anything, glasses were always filled but they don't hover. They asked us once if everything was OK and let us enjoy our meal but they checked on us. The bakery has a a great assortment, everything is fresh and delicious. We can't wait to go back!

The food was really good. We had 18 people in our party, this made our food orders take a little longer than normal.

CHARMING! I visited Bootsie's the day before 4th of July. The ambience is rocking here. Everything is clean and cute and this place feels like it belongs in Pigeon Forge, Tennesse or like it was created by Joanna Gaines! I will absolutely come back here. The food is really good, too. We loved the homemade bread served with our meal. We all got the fried chicken and it was very tasty.

We had an interesting experience to say the least. I'd heard a lot about this place and I was in the area, so we stopped by with moderate expectations. The restaurant was really well decorated and seemed clean, which is obviously important. We looked over the baked goods and decided more or less what we wanted prior to eating. We were sat fairly quickly and the hostess was nice; although, she did seem a little new. Our server took some time getting to us, which was fine because it was Saturday and business was fairly steady. Don't misconstrue this: it was not slammed nor was it particularly busy, but there was a small crowd. Our server got to us and we ordered drinks and food. Our food came out extremely quickly (think nearly fast food level of speed) which isn't necessarily bad but it isn't something I really expect of a sit-down restaurant. Our food was fine. It wasn't amazing, but it was good. The bread they dropped at the table while I was in the bathroom was good too, but the strawberry butter was an odd choice. The service we experienced was terrible. After our initial order, the server basically abandoned us. It took forever for refills and we weren't chugging our drinks. She did finally come, give us refills, and ask about dessert. Of course we wanted desserts! Everything in the bakery looked amazing. We thought she was going to bring us a dessert menu, as is fairly common in most places. Instead, she brought us a small platter with a variety of pies and cakes on it. Not completely abnormal, and while the item we had looked at the bakery wasn't an option here, we went ahead an ordered a piece of cheesecake to split because it looked pretty good. After a few more minutes of waiting, we finally got the cheesecake. I took a big bite of it and.... NO CRUST?? Like none at all. Our waitress was, again, nowhere to be found so I quietly flagged down another young lady who was working and asked her about it. She was as confused as I was. My husband and I are both from the Midwest and neither of us had ever seen cheesecake without a crust. The server came back and informed us the bakery had stopped making cheesecake with crust. Maybe this was our fault for not noticing on the platter of baked goods offered to us, but the server I asked didn't seem to know about the lack of crust and I didn't think to upturn every dessert in the place to see if it came with all the normal ingredients. The server I flagged down (again, not OUR server) offered to get us something else but honestly I was just ready to eat and leave, so my spouse and I opted to keep the dessert which was fine other than lacking a crucial part. Have you ever eaten a block of cream cheese? I guess I have now. Anyway, after we finished our dessert we waited an additional 15 minutes for the check. When all was said and done, it took us 2 hours to eat and leave, and only about 25 minutes of that was spent actually eating. It was like some sort of weird, food-service purgatory. Never going back.

Today, my wife, son, and I visited Bootsie's in Waterloo for the very first time. In a word - AWESOME!!! We went in to get lunch, since we had a very long wait at the DMV across the street. The food was splendid! Good-sized portions (you get your money's worth), great variety on the menu, prices were very reasonable, and their dessert section was to die for! Outstanding staff - very friendly and very helpful! Big shout-out to Shirley and Abby for taking such good care of us! Plan to definitely go back and give them more of our business in the future!

We have never had to wait more than 5 minutes. The expanded menu is fantastic. It satisfies ask of my picky eaters. Food is delicious. Great atmosphere.
