Hiko Japanese Steak, Sushi & Ramen has become one of my favorite restaurants in Waterloo — even though I never thought I’d say I like sushi!

Hiko Japanese Steak, Sushi & Ramen offers amazing and attentive service, making it a great choice for diners. The food is delicious with nice sized portions, including the Yum Yum Shrimp bento box, ABC roll, and crab sushi rolls. The atmosphere is welcoming, and customers are greeted with a smile, enjoying friendly, fast service. The establishment is clean and pleasant, contributing to a delightful dining experience.
Recent visitors have noted that the food has improved since opening and aligns well with the prices, making it a good option for Waterloo. Guests celebrate special occasions here, appreciating the exceptional service even during busy times. Many believe Hiko is one of the best Japanese restaurants in the US, with hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious food. The Flaming Roll is outstanding, and the Ramen has been praised as the best by some guests. The mango boba tea is considered yummy, although there are comments about the tapioca pearls being dried out inside. Overall, Hiko remains a nice place for a casual dining experience, especially for those looking for sushi or boba, and many customers plan to return.
