German Restaurants in Waterloo, IL

“Not knowing quite what to expect, we were pleasantly surprised by this dining "experience". The service is "relaxed" as there is no rushing here. But the food was amazing. It took us (5 people) over 3 hours from start to finish but it's nice to eat at a leisurely pace for a change. There was only one other table (6 or 7 people) the evening we were there. The place itself it like a museum with lots of collectables to look at. Watch for their hours as they are currently only open Friday, Saturday and Sundays. I can't say enough about how tasty and plentiful the food was. And this wat not something prepared in advanced and just heated-up. Everything was fresh, tasty and made just for the order. Authentic German food is difficult to find in this area and I'm glad there is now a place to find it. Just make sure you aren't in a hurry.“
