German Restaurants in Waterloo, IL

“Since my father was born and raised in Germany, good German food is something we are always in the market for. Upon our arrival we were greeted by the Chef and then seated. The atmosphere was fantastic, the decor beautiful and initiated further conversation. We were informed of the history of the building itself which is a very interesting story. Looking from the outside you would never imagine what lies inside. The place is currently in the process of doing several upgrades to their store, service and delivery via Door Dash. The restraunt itself is set up nicely. Since the chef is literally a one man show, we expected things would move slowly however, he did amazing and it was worth the time spent, very relaxing environment. We were impressed by the pretzel bites and mustard (which are actually like rolls), served warm and fresh. The Braut bits we ordered were a nice addition and absolutely delicious. The beer selection was great as well. There were 3 of us and our food came out at the same time. We've all had our share of German food in the US and we enjoyed the flavors. The experience overall was unmatched by any place I have ever gone and we ABSOLUTELY will be returning. Would HIGHLY recommend.“
