Went this past Sunday. Had been a few times before but had never tried the pizza.Definitely worth a visit if you have not been here before and you are relatively close by.The sausage was quite good. The jalapenos were fresh and mercifully mild. In fact they could have been a little hotter (but they can't control that) The edge pieces were ~outstanding~.I do think it could be cooked a little hotter or longer period it is not a firm crust all the way through...THAT SAID I will almost...read full review
Last night we had tickets at the Genesee theater in Waukegan and I looked around on yelp for a place not too far away. This little older restaurant about 46 years old, which they said was the oldest restaurant in Waukegan was four minutes away from the Genesee theater we made a reservation. We showed up on time at 6:30 and we ordered Poor man's lobster, which is cod comes with your choice of potatoes or pasta, and a wonderful salad wishes covered with vegetables and beets. It was like traveling back in time which was a pleasant surprise. The service and food were awesome. Please don't expect Michelin level meals but awesome neighborhood meals. Definitely worth another visit when in the area. This trip was prior to concert at the Genesee theater.
