“We had just a fantastic experience at Papa Marcos while staying in Waukegan. We started with Hummus and Baba Ghanoush, both were incredibly creamy in texture and tasted delicious. Our server kept bringing us more bread at no extra charge to dip! She was extremely friendly the whole night, made great conversation and gave a lot of insight on the food, which I’m sure is very helpful for folks unfamiliar with Lebanese cuisine. I ate a combination platter with lamb and chicken kabob which were both delicious, but the highlight was the beef kufta—impossibly complex flavor and so delicious. It also had some delicious sautéed veggies, which I often feel are missing from dishes like this at other Mediterranean restaurants.
We were also given an array of sauces to use, the tahini-based one was incredible. Complimentary baklava at the end ain’t too shabby, either!“

“First time and definitely NOT our last. The spot was hopping and we could see why! The staff was warm and welcoming and gave us great recommendations. I think I left my fork spinning on the plate. Best BBQ I have had in ages! And meeting Big Ed was the topper! Came out making sure everyone was enjoying. “Louie's is the best place to eat in Waukegan. Great Italian food, thin crust pizza, fried chicken and fish. Everything is great. They give you the best bread hot from the oven when you sit down. Huge bar. Family friendly. You can't go wrong at this place.“

“I beg my partner to take me here as a treat. Best sushi place to dine in, at Waukegan. I love it here 😭. They have so many different options, and the food is always delicious, the presentation is always there too. The service is always friendly and quick. Things can add up pretty quickly, but I’ll definitely keep coming back for the sushi! The Foxy Roll is my new favorite. I wish they had more desert options though. It’s never hard to find parking but the roads to the parking lot could use repairs.“

“Today's wings hands down was some the best cooked wings I've from here. I been here plenty of time since it opened but today's wings hit different fresh, crispy, full of sauce not greasy or oily like other times before. Who ever new tall guy cooking back there keep him! Not only was she very kind, pleasant, warm and welcoming, but also very knowledgeable. I cant eat any salt or sugar due to my health issue! She took the time to take very good care of me and shes truly a great asset to Dennys. Because of her, I’ll be a regular visitor! Kudos to her she deserves to be the employee of the month….AND PLEASE GIVE HER A RAISE!!!

Now let’s talk about the food. Flavor. Real flavor. Everything tasted authentic and thoughtfully made. I had the pozole flight, and it was honestly a treat. Every single bite delivered. You can tell this is comfort food done right. The tacos dorados were hands down the best I’ve ever had. I went with the papa ones, and they were perfectly crispy, flavorful, and not greasy at all. I also tried a birria taco, which was amazing and packed with rich flavor. Their salsas and chiles deserve a shoutout too. Bold, fresh, and on point. Nothing watered down. Prices are very reasonable for the quality you get, and I would absolutely come back without hesitation. Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic Mexican food done right.“

“Half price pizza night and overall great food and service make them a go to when we want pizza. The lunch buffet is another great option as well. Well several years later the half price Wednesday's are gone but the pricing is still below the other local pizza places for a deep dish pizza. We've been eating here over 30.years and the pizza is still tops.“

“I had a wonderful breakfast experience here 🍽️✨ The Lemon Ricotta Blueberry French toast was absolutely delicious perfectly balanced, fresh, and full of flavor 🍋🫐😋. My daughter really enjoyed her unlimited pancakes 🥞💛 and was very happy with her meal, which made the visit even better for both of us.

Our server was also fantastic very sweet, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit 😊👍. The service really added a warm and welcoming touch to the whole experience.
