“The food was good, the fires were just the right crispiness and the burger was really good. The service was good as well. The soda was the star not there though, there was so much ice that 2 or 3 sips in I was basically half way done, but they quickly refilled it for me. Good place when on a budget.”

“Stopped in after a long day at Starved Rock, and my group and I were starved! So glad we chose this location, small town business, busy but not too busy, owner run doing lots of the work and maintaining professional courtesy despite constant demands. Two people working, so if you're not in a hurry no big deal, and it's totally worth the wait! We enjoyed every bit of our visit here, and the food was absolutely amazing! The fried mushrooms are huge!!! Being short staffed naturally there were some hang ups in the mix, that's where the courtesy comes in, having worked as a bar manager myself running also a kitchen and doing the food and beverage and running blind short staffed, so I get it. I highly recommend this place, and if it's not moving fast enough for you then move on, because this place is great and worth the sit back and relax! “Loveeee this place! I drive about 20 minutes to come here and it's worth it! First off, it's cute. Second, it has soooo many options from candy (old school and new school), flavored cokes (I recommend marshmallow, chocolate, or vanilla), soft serve ice cream and more! Third of all, the prices are phenomenal! I can be pretty cheap, but these prices are incredible, you can buy so much for not much at all. Today we bought a sundae, two flavored cokes, four candy bars, a few chewy treats, and possibly more for $8. Wow!! Go here and go now! You won't be sorry.”

“I was driving through Central Illinois and found this gem. The service was great, the young lady working the front was very friendly and helpful ?. I got two steak tacos and two birria gorditas.Vegetarian options: They have a separate vegetarian menu. There are at least 10 options on the menu”

“First time at this place, was pleasantly surprised, the wings were great,. Went with a party of 7, got 50 wing deal and we scoffed the lot with a couple of appetizers.Great place, small but well worth a visit. Would would definitely rrecommend!”

“Passing through at meal time, supper, and knew, "Suds" puts out a good plate of grinders. I had the super grilled cheese ? minus the bacon[not a meat eater] put the bacon on the side for my son to have with his plate. I don't do American cheese, so changed out for pepper jack. “Clean work station. All ingredients were fresh. So many subways at gas stations are subpar. So nice to get a fresh sandwich when hungry. This location has showers and full truck stop gas station. Good sold stop for anyone on a long trip. Very simple for subways to pay attention to this. Throw out wilted and soggy ingredients, and your reviews are will go up. Very happy this spot was well maintained.”
