“Speaking as a 12 year Marine Corps veteran. I EAS’d 5 1/2 months ago. I grew up in Geneva my whole life. I attended Coultrap elementary, Geneva middle school south, than graduated Geneva High School class of 2013. Two weeks later I reported to recruit training MCRD San Diego, 1st Bn, Delta Co, plt 1069. I lived the life of an active duty marine for over a decade and learned how to be flexible and manage very tough situations. I separated from the service with the same mentality that brought me in, see new experiences and adapt. I was a little anxious coming back home when I got my discharge paperwork (honorably) and I always knew I wanted to come home and readjust here. As soon as I stepped into this coffee roastery, it didn’t take me a second in my mind to know that this is a wonderfully warm and familiar place to stop by on your way to work and enjoy a good pick me up in the presence of friendly people. 10/10, I love core shop and for one veteran to another, this is a wonderful place to stop on by and share a cup of coffee before or after a good days work.“

“Sparrow really ticked all the boxes; robust and flavorful espresso in a latte complimented by flavor rather than overpowered by it, delicious grilled cheese with a substantial pull, and very friendly service. Seating is a little bit of a melee but worth it.“

“I picked up a bag of beans at Woodman’s based on the packaging. Wow, I’m hooked and have bought a couple more! A true resealable bag…you are so smart! Even if it’s a lil extra $, that is worth it for me. Googled Modest tonight and made me even happier to support them! Read about Marcus and Jenni and the girls, pets and the history. Very cool! Hopefully we cross paths in Aurora somehow since I’m also there! Nice work you two!“
