The Owls Nest is a popular neighborhood bar and restaurant, known for its friendly staff and casual atmosphere. The menu offers a variety of delicious dishes, such as wings, pulled pork sandwich, and a Thursday fried chicken special. The Friday fish special, including walleye filets and sides, is also a customer favorite. The restaurant offers a cozy bar area and plenty of seating. Some customers have noted that it can get busy, but the service remains attentive and efficient. The Monday half-price pizza, with its thin crispy crust and even distribution of toppings, is a popular choice. The Owls Nest is known for its flavorful and generously portioned meals, making it a great dining option.
Customers have praised the Hot Roast Beef and mentioned the enjoyable Monday raffle that supports the West Peoria fire department. Parking is available on the side of the bar or on the streets. One customer tried the whole catfish with baked potato and salad, which they found to be pretty decent, while their companion's tenderloin and fries were good. The waitress, who was working her first shift, was also mentioned as doing well.
