“Tried for the first time and they just hit my top five for sure. The beef was super tasty, moist and the portion was very generous. the gravy very flavorful not greasy or salty. “Mickey's in Villa Park always delivers. Great flame broiled hamburgers, and a hot dog special that you just can't beat. They have an extensive menu and Grape Nehi! Nuff said. They have a great staff and the place is always clean with lots of parking. If you're looking for a quick and tasty Sloppy Joe on the go they have that too. Portillo's is for tourists. Mickey's is for the people!“

“This might be the best place in the area for Chicago style food. Restaurant was very clean. All the hotdog ingredients were freshly sliced. The Combo Italian Beef and Sausage I had was excellent with Sweat Peppers and Hot Extra Juicy. Great hidden Gem for Chicago Style Food. If your in the area Its a must stop!“

Wheelchair accessibility: There is a step. So getting in with a wheelchair is slightly difficult. Thankfully I can actually stand up and walk short distances“

I've even red around the yellow to draw attention to the "trip", at other establishments. It's just an accident waiting to happen. Thank you.“

“This place really hit the spot. Just one of those classic Chicago spots where the focus is all about the food. You can smell the grilled sausage and onions as soon as you walk in, that alone had me sold.
I ordered the Polish sausage, I just wanted something solid. But this one totally surprised me. It was loaded with chopped onions, thick tomato slices, a big crunchy pickle, and a couple sport peppers. Not your usual Maxwell Polish.
The sausage was grilled just right, nice and crisp on the outside, and super juicy when I bit into it. It came out hot, fresh, and fast, maybe a 5-minute wait. The staff was super friendly and welcoming.
If you're looking for a solid Polish or just want to try something that feels classic Chicago, this is it.“

“I moved from Chicago 40 years ago and haven't been to Parky's since I was a kid. It was our go-to hot dog spot prior to 1972 when we moved from River Forest. Going back was such a thrill for me after so long, and it hasn't changed! I had forgotten that these dogs come off the grill and aren't soaking in hot dog water for hours (not there is anything wrong with an HDW soak). I love a nice char on my dogs, so this was a pleasant surprise. So glad I made the detour!“

Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance to the restaurant is very narrow and there is not a lot of space for a wheelchair inside but there are a few tables outside“

“Gpay didn't work and I had no physical card. After trying the Gpay several times, I gave up. The manager asked for the drink I was drinking back, lol. I got in the car, saw my wallet in the seat and decided not to go back in. I drove out of my way to try this food, but this experience with being asked for the drink back was shocking. #theapartmentlady“

“I hit up The Dog Stop at lunchtime and dropped about $14—snagged the Chicago-style hot dog & fries. The dog had that legendary Vienna Beef snap, properly “dragged through the garden” with all the fixin’s—no ketchup, of course. The fries were hot and golden. Staff was friendly and quick, and the size hit me just right. Chill neighborhood spot—made me feel straight at home in the city.“

“First time trying this place as is just few minutes away from my company new location. I didn’t order anything from their set menu, as I only wanted to get serving of chicken, gyro meat and Italian beef with side of tzatziki sauce- and the staff accustomed my needs perfectly! Must say I’m very pleasantly surprised! Most of places are fussing about preparing something out of their standard menu - this guys are more than happy to creat a meal to satisfy their guest!
Will most certainly be a returning customer and will spread the good word about this place to all my colleagues at work (and not only)“

I came before they were closing and he took care of me , I absolutely love JJ Fish & Chicken! Every time I go, I order the chicken tenders, and they are always fresh, hot, and perfectly seasoned. You can tell they take pride in the quality of their food. The customer service is excellent—everyone is friendly, welcoming, and quick to help. It’s hard to find a spot that consistently delivers great food and service, but JJ Fish & Chicken nails it every time. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious food and a great experience!“
