I came before they were closing and he took care of me , I absolutely love JJ Fish & Chicken! Every time I go, I order the chicken tenders, and they are always fresh, hot, and perfectly seasoned. You can tell they take pride in the quality of their food. The customer service is excellent—everyone is friendly, welcoming, and quick to help. It’s hard to find a spot that consistently delivers great food and service, but JJ Fish & Chicken nails it every time. “Nicky’s Hot Dog is a must-visit spot if you’re in the Hotel Central area for a business trip. I arrived around 11:00 am, and while foot traffic was light, parking was still scarce, possibly due to sharing with a neighboring business. The place is tiny and old, with no updates to the exterior or interior, but that’s not why you’re there. I skipped the namesake hot dog and went straight for the Italian beef sandwich.

They used to be cash-only, but now they accept major cards, which was a relief since I don’t carry cash. The workers are packed into the minuscule kitchen like sardines, but ordering is straightforward. Just tell the guy at the counter what you want, and he writes it down on paper. A couple of minutes later, your order is ready.

There’s nothing fancy about Nicky’s, so if that’s what you’re after, head to a major chain. I ordered a beef sandwich with fries and an RC Cola for around $14. The sandwich came wrapped in foil and paper, with the bottom half soaked in beef juice. The beef was perfect, the bread was soft, and the hot peppers were just right. The sandwich was delicious and paired perfectly with the golden fries and cola. I’m so glad these places still exist, and I have much respect for the workers who move at warp speed to handle the orders, especially as it got jam-packed as soon as I left.“

“I would have to agree with the positive reviews that this Italian beef is the real deal. Someone said this was salty but I’m pretty sure she just made up stuff. The bread was not stale, it was fresh. They gave me a lot of sweet peppers and meat. I had it dipped. The meat was juicy and tender. I could have eaten two of these but I wasn’t sure how big it was. I also got a chili cheese dog. It was good but not as memorable as the beef. I would have to come back and try the cheesy Italian beef and Italian sausage. They have one single person restroom and a good amount of seats. I came at night so most of the orders were takeout. The staff was friendly.“

“I came in tonight and was excited because I’ve been craving a jrito crunch and have been for about 3 years and my buddy Carl told all his fb friends that owner is a previous franchisee of jrs and they have the chil ito which is this same xact indgredients (yes same chili and cheese and same chips as jrito everything was phenomenal came from Thornton which is about a half hour plus drive. So so worth the drive I refused to touch anything til I got home so I could enjoy that first bite. “Stopped by for a quick lunch after grocery shopping. My friend ordered the Saturday special—the Super Burger, a massive ½‑lb burger served with fries. I wasn’t as hungry, so I went with the patty melt instead.

The Super Burger lived up to its name and was topped with grilled onions and mozzarella cheese. My patty melt was spot on: crispy bread and a perfect burger‑to‑grilled‑onions ratio. I also grabbed a large fountain drink, and refills were $1.

The interior has been recently updated, and they’re clearly making good use of the space, including a half‑booth facing the window. The booths were comfortable, making it an easy place to sit and enjoy lunch.“

“Don't let the overall look of this place fool you It might seem like an out of place small almost empty restaurant right next to the sidewalk, But the food is delicious, Very friendly staff of 2 at the moment. It was my First time going I had a hot dog meal with fries and a drink Hot dog was delicious. Fries surprised me VERY delicious home made fries, food was good The price was great. Service was very fast in and out within about a minute well worth a stop, I am looking forward to trying out some of their other menu items 🤤 my one and only complaint if I had one is that there is no porking available for them at the moment 😭“

Now don't get me wrong, the subs are delicious but id you get more then 3 things slices of meat that's a good day. I know the economy if rough but dang. “Well I like Lucky Dogs but this location on Roosevelt has the worst customer service. A least 5 times, where they get my order wrong even after repeating my order clearly. Sometimes, I’ve had to ask them to repeat the order back to me just to make sure they had it right. Some of their drive thru employees don’t listen well, nor understand good clear English. Some don’t speak good English. Once I ordered a taco dinner & the beans were spoiled. After a long day at work & getting home realizing the beans were bad, I was too tired to deal with it. They have gotten my beef sandwiches wrong, it happened again today. I wish they would open the one on 16th street again (rarely had any issues other than with newer employees), and the one in Broadview is decent (I’veh never had a problem with them other than their sign having pizza on it but they don’t sell pizza, lol!) my stars are for the food, it is usually all around good.“

“Very good cheap/quick food. Their Greek chicken is always moist and not dry. Very delicious lemon sauce. The combo comes with 2 legs/thighs, basically 2 meals for me. Their rib tips was very tender. I also had their gyros, not the best tasting compared to other gyro places. So I would just recommend the chicken and rib tips. We get this almost every other week when we don't want to cook.“

It is very tight, and some old lady hit the mirror of my van. Just be careful when you are in the tight parking lot. Some people can’t seem to understand how they work. Otherwise, the food is good.“
