Small portions and to expensive!
In and Out is the best….and it’s not expensive like Portillo!
the portions of meat on the large beef are a joke. the bread has changed for the worse, much worse. lifelong customer has had it. you suck.
Before Portillo’s was acquired and Dick Portillo sold the business, it truly was one of the best places around. The Barnelli’s side was legendary as the chicken was perfectly marinated and juicy, the Alfredo sauce was creamy and rich, the noodles were bright yellow and full of flavor, the sandwiches and salads were fresh and plentiful.

Based on six reviews, Portillo's Cicero is an iconic American Chicago hotdog restaurant. The restaurant is very clean, though some visits have found the place dirty with unclean tables and missing items like straws or ketchup. The food is delicious, including a Chicago dog, burgers with a great char, an Italian Beef sandwich that is tender beef on a disintegrating bun, and a chocolate cake that is out of this world. The lemon cake shake is a good shake where the lemon really comes through. The fries are pretty average with a side of cheese dip that is nothing special. The service is extremely friendly and lightning fast at times, but other visits have seen kids more interested in chatting than working, leading to a long wait for food and half the order missing. The food is hot and delicious as usual, making it a straight shooting fast food joint.
