Previous owner would be five star for food and one star for service lolIt used to be our go-to place for sticky rice, congee, youtiao, soy milk and hand-made noodlesIt was sold during covidI remember the good old day, doenst matter if you entered at 11am or 2pm, there will be a line, all the way from the front counter to almost to the door…now probably due to both covid a lot of ppl still stay in or most likely due to the fact the food are no longer good…We still go once awhile but not use toThey still have to same menu, price adjusted obviously but the taste is just not used to…The only good thing w/ the new owner is they finally take credit card, no more cash only but customer pay a fee lolPs.  Don’t be alarm when a 8yrs old take your order lol Chinese style!  We all worked when we were young hhahaVegetarian options: Few optionsParking: Big lotKid-friendliness: Kids like their soy milkWheelchair accessibility: Front door not automatic

Have been here for breakfast during weekend a couple times. Love the cold dishes, very flavorful and authentic Chinese taste. Also always order the beef noodle soup and the fried dough stick with soy milk. The downside is that sometimes the food quality seems varies. Sometime food tasted like it’s been there for a while. But it’s still a good Chinese breakfast place in Chicago area.

Don't go to Nanbeihe after three o'clock because their manager said that the oil pan is turned off and the fried dough sticks are all fried before three o'clock, so the fried dough sticks you buy are all cold. The store closes at 8 o'clock. The oil pan is closed so early. I faint.

This place may not be a comfortable restaurant, but the advantage is no tipping, decent food quality (around 80%), and affordable prices. It's a great choice if you just need a quick lunch. Chinese Cafe also maintains a good standard for some dishes, especially the salt and pepper fish, which is incredibly crispy and worth a try.Recently, the experience I had was that the kitchen completely messed up my friend's noodle order. My friend originally ordered A+B to share and mix with his wife, but the chef made it A+A. However, since it still tasted good, we didn't make a fuss. We're not sure if it was a mistake in taking the order or if the chef made the error.

Other than the little boy taking your order is very impressive… would not come back for their Taiwanese breakfast.

If you like traditional Taiwanese breakfast food like fried bread stick, sweet or salted bean milk, flapjack with beef, seafood congee or fried pork dumplings. However I think the traditional Taiwanese breakfast is only offered on the weekends, call them to double check.I got the fried pork chops to go, I was disappointed on how little pork chops is in an order. I feel like it was half order size v

Foods are getting worse since the new owner took over. They increased the prices and cut down the quality of foods. Very disappointed.

Great food, come at 10am when they open. Many asian families and friends come here to remember what good food tastes like back home.

Family-owned hole in the wall that serves its locals in a run-down international plaza. This place has stood against the test of time in my eyes. If you're headed here for a weekend, make sure to grab a dozen of their fried bread sticks or 油条/yóutiáo early. It's really a sign of the times that they've gotten smaller over the years, but these long bread sticks are crispy pieces of bread that stretch like melted mozzarella and have that familiar deep fried doughy taste.I had the Hakkanese Saute with the sesame chicken with a side order of salty Bean Curd soup, and I'm happy to say that these flavors have remained the same after a couple decades at play.

I travel way out of my way to get the Spicy Beef Noodle soup there. If you've never had it, I strongly suggest you give it a try!Wheelchair accessibility: Absolutely no problem if you require wheelchair access.

Their service is inconceivably slow, as all the breakfast food is premade. I feel the management is just too stubborn to run this place efficiently.

手工牛肉面,The beef noodle at this food court is the best! My American friends liked it so much she even finished everything including the soup! Highly recommended meal if you like noodles and beef.

I usually get the same thing because it tastes so good, but I have taken numerous people to this place and all appreciate the meal. Spicy or not, they offer a good variety of traditional Asian fare. I highly recommend.
