The working hours are wrong, they’re not closing 6pm I arrived around 5:20pm and they refused to serve me and kicked me out so I can’t say anything about the quality of food but people that work here are very unpleasant . Quick friendly advice for the owner: If you don’t know how to run a business and if you’re too lazy just close it or leave it for the others who knows better!!!

Walked into food court sandwiched in between an Asian grocery store and closed Chinese restaurant so the last thing I expected to stumble onto was a Serbian counter food place. I was excited at the prospect of possibly sampling Serbian food once again and perused the small menu they had at the counter before deciding to check out the other food stalls and stores in the food court. About 10 minutes later, I returned to the Europe 22 and decided to look at the counter menu again but to my surprise, it was gone. This was about 30 minutes prior to their closing time of 6 PM. They had some had written specials written in Serbian on a page the was taped to a dish rack behind the register so I decided to goggle those dishes. After a few moments I asked if they had any to-go menus and the blonde older lady behind the counter responded with a curt "no", no smile ... no nothing... so then I asked if they had a menu online.... same curt and sharp "no" again with slight annoyed frown as if she were a senior guard at a concentration camp. I am well aware and familiar with Slavic mannerisms and no nonsense attitudes and not easily put off. This 'lady', however, gave off an energy of having no interest getting any of my business and I gladly obliged by walking away.The Culinary experience starts with first impressions ... no matter how marvelous the food might taste, i'm not giving this place a chance at a 2nd one.

When I say this place is good - I mean it! In my search for chicagolands best Balkan, Europe 22 has remained a consistent top contender. A low key spot, family owned , with focus on their craft! because of this I give Europe22 5 stars.But the 5 stars is dearer to my heart then just that,Great comfort food, nice variety! Quality tasty ingredients*Competitive pricing with great portions!This restaurants hovers right in the perfect section of pricing and portion/ingredient value.Overall:- Fries are on par w balkan tradition.- Kajmac is very good,- Soft bread, nice texture- fresh crisp veggies! (Can be hit or miss with certain placesSupport them!lovely people there, they know me every time I come now!(if you’re getting into Balkan food start with cevapi or beef pillows. I promise you won’t regret!)P.S.Call ahead, expect ab 1 hour wait. (Good food takes a while to prepare they’re always busy)

When you order, they doesn’t want to hear you what you want.Update :When you call them at 5pm to order food, there don’t answer on calls or if after 10 times get an answer, they say “we don’t accept any orders bc we are busy”Thay mean that you are opet or not???
