This was an outstanding South Indian food place 2 decades ago. I’ve been here over 12 times a year. Now it’s perhaps 1/3rd the quality. I am deeply disappointed with the South Indian food. Even the appetizers I tried were sad and stale. The only positive is more wait staff that speaks English.

One word to describe them is Phenemonal We had Shree Restaurant cater our wedding last month. Gagan was extremely easy to communicate with, very prompt and patient. The team arrived on time, setup and cleaned up well. Their service was very polite and attentive and most importantly their food was outstanding. All guests (Indian and American) thoroughly enjoyed the food and are still raving about it. They had a wide variety of menu options to choose from and each item was extremely delicious and fresh. They also had a Live dosa station setup for us with just the right number of Dosa options. The chutneys and accompaniments were just as mouth watering as the mains/ desserts. We highly recommend Shree Catering for your next event!

Shree is the go to Vegetarian Restauraunt in Westmont ! It is known for its consistency and the quality of its largely South Indian Vegetarian food including Masala Dosa's, Uttappa's, Sambar, and other sancks and curries. During the week it was known for its lunch buffet which was very good and priced well at $ 10. Unfortunately even with restrictions being lifted post COVID 19 in Chicago and Westmont...the lunch buffet has been permanently cancelled. On a recent trip there all that was available was a very limited thali consisting of Dal, one Veg Dish, Rice, and mini-samosa and a single Gulab Jamun ! Certainly good and freshly make - but hardly worth the $ 12 charged or the fact that service took 15 minutes for a thali which is too long for lunch. Things are slighly better on week-ends with a larger menu in place. But the restauraunt is largely empty for lunch during the week, and has limited traffic on weekends. It's unclear how long they will stay open at this rate. Also most of the old waiters who knew the menu well seem to have left which makes service inconsistent at best ! Overall I hope they can turn things around - but things look grim. People won't come without the buffet and the high priced limited thali on weekdays seems to have driven most customers away !

Wow. We just had dinner there. The food was ok. The service was rude and hostile. Save yourself the frustration and go elsewhere.

This spot obviously knows how to take care of their customers. Consistently with a welcoming mindset. The food is reasonably priced, constantly delicious and neat.

I just enjoy their dishes. I always get good service there. The place is clean and the staff members are always very welcoming. Will come visit again.

I had carry out from Masala Vibes last week. We had Chicken Paneer and Tikka Masala. Both dishes were tasty. We are not Indian food officiandos but we do enjoy it on occasion. The food was very fresh and seasoned well. Try out their yummy food. They have been serving food in the area since the 80s.

We always had dine-in food here before and it was really good. Our recent experience of first take out order was really bad. I have attached order receipt. I wonder why would you not taste your food after cooking. It's not that you are making it separate for each order. Chana, Sambar, Chutney, masala, all these are made in bulk. Taste it before you sell it! Review of 2 Masala Dosas and Sambar: Masala or red chutney in dosas were super salty. Even sambar had so much salt in it. Almost 70% of this went into trash. Review of Cholay (Chana) Bhature: Bhatura were super thick and chana was super dry. We were hungry so we pushed it in our throat somehow. Chana Bhatura used to be our favorite food at Shree restaurant. Review of Samosa and Chutney: Samosa was fine but chutney had very less salt/spices in it that made it bland (Looked like all the salt was used in Dosa and Sambar. There was none left for this Chutney) Review of Malai Kofta: Its curry did not taste like Malai Kofta curry. Review of Paneer Makhni: Curry was good (only reason I still have 2 stars in the review) but it had very less paneer in it. May be 4 small pieces of paneer. If I would have known before I started eating, I would have added more paneer at home. Review of Medhu Vada and Idly: I did not eat/taste it.

An ample buffet with a broad variety of flavors and degrees of spiciness. The restaurant itself is pleasant, too, with no lunch-counter vibe (i.e., the lighting is soft). There are both booths and tables, and the large room is semi-divided between the section with the buffet and a side allocated just to dining.

My daughter moved to Westmont from Seattle where she found a love for Indian Foods. I was happy to find this place after searching TripAdvisor. It is in a strip mall area, a little dated but their interior was attractive. They only have the buffet for lunch with a very nice selection of foods from their menu. I was happy to learn that the majority of their foods are gluten free (dosa too). Everything was great and we look forward to going back in the near future.

You should give this place a try. You won’t be disappointed. Everything we ordered was so delicious we left stuffed and happy. Especially try the rose milk!!
