Bought some duck jaw and chicken feet today. The top row is fine, but the bottom is molding! Disgusting! The chicken feet doesn’t show any mold, but definitely smells odd!I would avoid buying anything from them, if you do want something, make sure keep the receipt!

Part 5 of 5 Memorial Day weekend APIHM series.I came especially for their not-so-stinky tofu. For those who are not familiar, it is deep-fried fermented tofu topped with spicy sauce and Szechuan pickled cabbage. Although it is not stinky as it should be, I enjoyed it nevertheless. The beef tendon noodle soup with handmade noodles was aromatic and delicious. We also tried the spicy seafood udon noodle soup which was equally tasty. They offer weekend breakfasts such as soy milk, youtian (Chinese fried dough), congee, and soybean jello just to name a few. You can also purchase a variety of frozen dumplings (50 pc) to cook at home.Service was friendly and swift considering the number of customers they have. The little boy at the register offered to pack the noodle and soup separately for my long trip home. Now, that's what I call customer service. Nicely done, young man!

Hubby and I were in the area and decided to pick up some food on our way home. We called in our order and it was ready within ~20 minutes. There's a surcharge if you pay with credit card so be prepared with cash or be wary that there is an extra fee with card. We shared the sweet soy milk, chive box, beef flapjack, two twisted crullers, and steamed pork dumplings. The twisted crullers were HUGE and we could have easily shared just one between the both of us. They went great with the sweet soy milk which was only mildly sweet to my liking. The beef flapjack was mostly bready and had minimal filling. Hubby liked the chive box but I found it to be really oily. The pork dumplings were also good and we both liked them. I had the spicy beef noodle soup. The portion size was good and I liked the flavor of the broth. I was expecting it to be spicy but it was very mild so I forgot it was intended to be spicy. Hubby got the pork chop noodle soup which he scarfed down. I wanted to try the stinky tofu but didn't see it on the menu but will ask for it next time we come!

Spicy beef noodle soup. So so so good! They have hand made noodles available as well as regular noodles, and rice noodles. How nice right. Family business. Super friendly. Other items to try are silken soy pudding 豆花, soy milk, sticky rice, I think there are sweet and savory ones, the pork and cabbage noodle soup is recommended, in my opinion, and the eggplants dish is good too. Potstickers are good but I'm not liking the thick dough style ones IN MY OPINION. But they are prepared well. I know there are many different styles of dumplings, because there are many provinces and cultures and even old style and newly invented ones. So you do have to try and experience so you can find your preference. So many different Asian cuisines to try in different restaurants and cities. It's fun to find the unforgettable food memories across the world!

Quality stays the same as 20 years ago. The only issue with this place is logistics. On weekend, they are super busy. However you can see their assembly line is confusing and inefficient. So be prepared to wait. There is a 50cents surcharge if you use credit card.

Best place to get Fried Dough

The dumplings here do not taste fresh. I got the pork dumplings and the steam buns, both taste like the meat is a couple days old. The meat was not juicy and soft, which was a little sad. I'm giving this place a 3 star because the breading was thick on the dumplings, which is great. The chive pockets were good so that's one good thing.

I thought this would be one of those rare gem hole in the wall but incredible prices and flavors kind gem, but it ain't. The workers mostly speak mandarin which is kind if annoying. The crispy chicken is really good but everything else was forgettable. I got a watermelon smoothie since there wasnt any available water besides a water fountain...I usually dont thumbs down things but their fruit smoothie sucked. The tapioca was ok, but it was just watered down. I had to wait a long time this smoothie and the crispy chicken. Everyone who ordered after us got their food before we finally got our chicken. The fried dough fritter is kind of overcooked. Crispy but overcooked. Extremely greasy too but I guess that should be expected. This is a never return kind of place for me at least...
