Burhop's Seafood

We bought 2 pieces of halibut this past Sat for about $35. By this morning, they were smelling up the refrigerator big time. Should have never shopped outside of Dirks—and will not be returning!

They sell fresh seafood here, along with seafood sandwiches like lobster rolls, salmon sandwiches, etc.
Takeout only — no dine-in.

I tried the lobster roll and the salmon sandwich.
The lobster roll was amazing — super fresh, perfectly seasoned, and the bun was soft, buttery, and slightly sweet.
Compared to that, the salmon salade just didn’t hit the mark.

The lobster roll was $28,
and the salmon salade was $6.89.

This place didn’t smell very fresh when my mom and I first walked in. It smelled very fishy and I always was taught that fish shouldn’t smell “fishy” if it’s fresh. My mom LOVES seafood and I brought her here on recommendation of Google so she could get high quality fish. She was in this store for only a few minutes and wanted to leave. She said the fish was not fresh and it was also really really expensive. We ended up just going to Whole Foods where she got this beautiful fresh whole red snapper for way less than what was sold at Burbop’s. I understand if things are premium, they cost more. But the seafood here did not seem premium and fresh at all.

Best Lobster Rolls in Chicagoland. I highly recommend thiis for all seafood.

How did I not come here sooner? If you love fish, this is the place. Fresh, high-quality, and absolutely amazing.

The selection? Unreal. So much fish, all of it super fresh. And the best part? Ade. He knows his stuff and is beyond helpful.

Today, I tried the fresh New England clam chowder—wow. If you’re planning dinner, grab some. Hands down, the best seafood market around. You will not be disappointed!

Classic north shore seafood store with a fierce loyal following of locals. There is a wide variety of classic seafood and they have a unique plump cocktail shrimp that works well for the holidays, that can't be found at any other source.

I enjoy getting lunch at Burhops since they will cook my salmon burger right there fresh off the grill. They have a nice selection of fresh and frozen foods. Very unique items that you can't find just anywhere, too. Service sometime could be a little more welcoming, but I appreciate the selection offered.

Excellent retail store for fresh seafood, condiments, related items, and some takeout prepared seafood. Excellent service and the tastiest cooked shrimp that around.

Great selection, friendly staff and if you are hungry, they serve a fantastic grilled fish sandwich! Go for the Scottish Salmon - delicious!

Loved that quiet and cozy seafood spot. I ordered the grilled red snapper sandwich with avocado. The sandwich was DELICIOUS and the fish was fresh. I enjoyed every bite.

Got a couple of lobster rolls to go. Delicious but very pricey for what you get.

Great service and selection. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Always willing to help even. Also possibly the best corn I’ve had in years (Sept).
