“An old favorite. Excellent breakfast great coffee good service all of the things that make it the standard that it is. The only downside is everybody knows about it so the lines are typically pretty long. If you come during peak time it might be a good 30 to 40 minutes before you get seated and the parking lot might be full. It is also very kid friendly so expect it to be loud and sometimes with crying children.“

“Food was phenomenal. Service was great. We really enjoyed those two things. Unfortunately, if you're Black, be prepared to be grossly stared at. My mother and I were the only ppl of color there and multiple people couldn't stop themselves from staring at us like we were aliens that shouldn't have been there. The folks who worked there were fine which is why I'm not penalizing them in this rating but Highland Park needs to do better. Black people aren't going to stop existing. Sorry.“

“This brings me back to the hutongs of Beijing! Monkey King Jianbing is worth the drive up to Skokie! Every Jianbing I’ve had is delicious, with the right balance of spice. They also added Shou zhua bings, think Chinese taco, which are amazing as well! I love this place!“

“Odettes was our waitress for our family breakfast. She was AWESOME and patient. They are always accommodating and quantity and quality is top notch. My family travels a good distance just to eat here. We love it.“

“This place feels a little outdated. However, we got sat pretty quick especially for a Saturday morning. Our waitress was amazing and she was quick with getting our drinks and order, as the occasional check up and refilling our drinks.
The food is a hit or miss. The coconut chicken and waffles were not that good. Chicken was bland and over-fried. However, the eggs benedict were great. The ham was thick, the sauce was flavorful and the breakfast potatoes were seasoned well.
All in all, if you want to grab a quick bite to eat and chat , its great. But food wise its a gamble.“

“My friends and I, had breakfast here today and the service was awesome. I was seated quickly, and had many items, to choose from on their menu. The waiter was super nice and friendly and checked on us a few times to see if we needed anything. The ambiance was great, the food was fresh and a lot of it. I took my leftovers home. Thank you Dem and staff for a GREAT service. Take care“
