I was catching up with my friend and we met at Towne and Oak. I ordered the weekend special pancakes. They came undercooked and almost raw in the middle. We were there for 25-35 minutes as my friend and I were talking, a manager came up to us and asked us to give up our seats for another customer. I understand they were busy as it was 11 o’clock on a Sunday. However, they are charging 13-20 dollars per person to eat and customers reserve the right to keep their seats. Management demanding and expecting us to move is incredibly unprofessional and rude. Despite the rude management the employees were great and kept the restaurant clean throughout the rush.

This place is great but the line to order is too slow. They never have 2 stations open and the iPad cash register isn’t great.

Modern and clean with a Holiday theme of Home Alone(!) - plus the food was very good. Had one of the breakfast sandwiches, all ingredients tasted carefully prepared and selected, and the service was wonderful. They get bonus points for leaning into the Home Alone heritage of the city. Would definitely return.

A good place to hop in for coffee or a salad. We tried a croissant sandwich, which was great. I saw a big selection of beverages, we will come back one day for sure. The place itself is open spaced, light and sunny ( both from wide windows and people's energy).Parking: You can park for free for 90 minutes.Make sure you leave before that time.Kid-friendliness: The place full of pictures of Home Alone characters, kids looveeee itWheelchair accessibility: No stairs, first floor, flat surface

A great coffee shop / bistro on Green Bay Road, in Winnetka’s Hubbard Woods district. It’s a great location, close to the train station and also has decent street parking (free but not always easy to find a spot). I haven’t tried their food yet but would definitely like to based on others’ pictures and opinion. The coffee is good (I had my usual latte), but not outstanding. They definitely have plenty of staff on hand which is unusual these days. The ambience of the place is great.
