Been coming here for years. The quality of the food has really gone downhill. Recent visit - the pasta looked like it had been sitting for hours & the taste was horrible, dry, overcooked. Won't be coming back.
Wonderful place to dine., food was delicious and our server, Fidel, was thee BEST ever! Will definitely return when I’m in Illinois again.
I took my daughter-in-law's parents to Clara's on August 28 for her dad's 84th birthday. We were the first customers there for lunch, so both servers, ARIEL and JENNIFER, working the lunch shift helped make my daughter-in-law's dad's birthday extra special in several ways. And as usual, our food was excellent. Thank you Jennifer, Ariel and cook for your services. See you soon!

The wait staff is top-notch, and menu items like stuffed mushrooms and chicken pesto with angel hair pasta are hot, delicious, and huge. The white fish special and pasta with spicy arrabiata sauce are excellent, with fresh pasta cooked perfectly. The atmosphere by the fireplace is perfect for a cold, rainy night. The restaurant's beautiful setting includes comfortable seating and a warm, inviting environment. Recent visits highlight the delicious fettuccine Alfredo, which was highly praised, and the large, well-presented side salads. For special occasions like Mother’s Day, customers enjoyed large, satisfying entrees such as spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna, chicken pesto, and chicken parmigiana, all excellent and suitable for leftovers. Lunches are also popular, with plenty of room for groups and a menu offering huge portions, including one of the best tiramisus around. Brian and Alex P provide exceptional service, making guests feel welcomed and valued. In May 2025, Clara’s will sell their family cookbook, "Cooking With Clara," with all proceeds going to Blessings on A Backpack, supporting local children in need. Overall, Clara’s combines exceptional service, generous portions, and a cozy atmosphere, making it a must-visit restaurant.
