The food was fantastic! We all had different entrees, and the nightly special was very good-the tuna over coconut rice! Great atmosphere at McGees-always fun to sit outside and dine on a beautiful evening!

Excellent restaurant. We has Shepard pie and fish and chips. The outdoor patio is super and the food presentation is amazing. The patio bar tender and waiter among the most enthusiastic Haversian ever seen!

Our server was awesome and very knowledgeable about the food served. The shrimp & grits and onion soup was delicious. The fish & ships were very good too. Loved the atmosphere!

Our first time dining at this gem tucked back in downtown Anderson. We had an excellent experience at McGee's Scot-Irish Pub in Anderson, South Carolina. Loved the atmosphere and design inside and out! All staff was great, server friendly, upbeat and attentive, food was phenomenal (the skillet hush puppies were BOMB). I had Bangers and Mash and my husband had the Irish Whiskey Steak - cooked to perfection! We HIGHLY recommend them and will definitely be back.

This was a celebration of my 58th birthday! We asked to sit outside because it was a nice evening and they have a beautiful outside seating area. We had a very good poutine fries appetizer. They have a very good selection of drinks and beers. The six of us had a variety of meals from pizza, fish and chips, Guinness, pork chop, and pasta chicken. After our meals, we finish it off with their amazing desserts, ranging from a custard, fruit, lemon meringue, bourbon pecan pie, and Oreo pie. Both entrée and dessert portions were so big we took half of them home. All of it was very good! it is one of our favorite places to eat in Anderson.

The menu online was different from actual menu. It needs to be updated. I ordered a veggie burger which said homemade on the menu. I was served two frozen patties. The waitress said they were homemade.

Even though the power was out the staff did everything to make us feel welcome and glad we decided to stay!!! Even though we were disappointed that most items were unavailable due to the power outage but decided to try different things Mikaya did everything to make our visit wonderful! 4 of the 6 of our party had never been to McGees and they were delighted by the whole experience! A fun time was had by all!!

We enjoy the ambiance, food and service at this delightful restaurant. It gives the feeling of being in Ireland and I enjoy watching those of Irish descent singing along when there is live entertainment.

A nice Irish pub. Visited Sat March 16th. Went for the corn beef and cabbage. Sadly a big disappointment. Food was terrible. Corn beef tasted like it was heavily salted and ruined taste. Cabbage was mixed with mashed potatoes, yuk Wife's corn beef was a solid lump and not editable . Food was prepared ahead of time and arrive with our appetizers. Service was take your order and never to be seen again. Appetizers were good, mushrooms and Dragon Eggs. We would go back for the pub experience and possible pub grub. However, meal and service I would not recommend.

We have been coming to McGees for about ten year now, ever since we moved to Anderson. We first heard about it from a neighbor, and fell in love with the place our first visit. The food is always great, and some of the specials are truly outstanding. The entertainment is always top quality, with just enough variety that it never becomes boring. Being a big fan of Irish music it was great to find a venue that features it so close to home.

Server was great. Checked on us just the right amount. Food was excellent, as always. Wait was minimal. Noise level was as expected for a restaurant/pub atmosphere on a crowded Saturday night. Will come again!

McGee's Irish Pub & Restaurant is a great place! Family run business. Great food and service. Their burgers are top notch, as are the Fish 'N Chips, and many other entrees. 'Live' music on Friday nights. Always awesome!

Food is always incredible. Prime Rib was perfect! Jake was very attentive without being too intrusive. He remembered our drink orders from our last visit. Music was wonderful and just the right volume. Always our favorite place to go!

The food was absolutely delicious. My wife got the bangers and mash, and I got the tavern burger. She was a little weirded out that there were fried apples in the mash as she doesn't like certain things to mix. I on the other hand thought it was delicious. She still very much enjoyed it, she just removed the "dessert" from her dinner. The tavern burger was very flavorful and cooked exactly as they asked me. The waitress was amazing. She was very helpful with recommendations and was very attentive. We will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful experience. Our server was friendly & attentive and we comfortable and enjoyed our time there. The food was delicious with generous portions. We enjoyed the live music, loud enough but not too much. We left after dinner and had drinks somewhere else but then came back that same evening for dessert and more music. Highly recommend!
