It's been decades since I've been to this Bloomington gem. I'm happy to report it has hardly changed. Still the no nonsense, reasonably priced steakhouse i remember. I've been so disappointed with the few high-end steakhouses I've been to recently. It's refreshing to go to one where i can get a properly cooked and seasoned steak at a reasonable price. If you're not familiar with Janko's, know that this is not a white-glove establishment....
The food was perfect. I had the kabab and others in the party had ribeye and large filet. All prepared perfectly. The buns were grilled and tasty. Nice wine selection with generous tastes prior to final selection.
The dining area is soooo dark and I typically like a cozy atmosphere yet it was hard to see the menu. The booth I was in had a loose back and any time we moved or the people behind us moved, it was uncomfortable for both parties.

Took my son here for his birthday this week. Food was excellent as it always is. The manager (our server as well) Laura went above and beyond to make my sons day special. Laura thank you so very much!!! PSA-this is the place to get steak in Bloomington. Hands down the best.
