If you’re anywhere near Bloomington, do yourself a favor and stop by Jiffy Treat. This place is the definition of a hometown gem! I ordered the Chocolate Lovers Sundae, and it was exactly what the name promises — pure chocolate heaven. It’s layered perfectly with rich ice cream, thick fudge, and just the right amount of whipped cream and toppings to make every bite better than the last.
You can tell they actually care about what they serve here — everything tastes fresh, and the staff are super friendly and fast, even when the place is packed. It’s got that nostalgic small-town ice cream shop vibe that just makes you feel good the second you pull up.
If you’ve got a sweet tooth (or even if you don’t), the Chocolate Lovers Sundae is a must. Hands down one of the best ice cream stops in Bloomington! 🍦🍫

Seems as though very young teens or young adults only work here.. That being said, they did great! Friendliness of the main girl that helped me could use some improvement, other than That, the food , service, parking were absolutely wonderful. The prices , I think, are bit high though

As much as their sloppy Joe is, you would think it wouldn't be dry, burnt meat. Definitely disappointing and no contact information except calling the young kids that's working there.

Waist $8 on what they call a strawberry shake.. its a cold cup of icy milk. I have been to the Jiffy Treet in Ellettsville and assumed it would be similar. I assumed completely wrong! Will never return
Service was really good. But dang, these prices on stuff have skyrocketed. The food specials are worth it, but I had to skip the ice cream as I could get a whole gallon for the price of a small ice cream cone there. My coney dog was really good, though.

My husband has been going to this ice cream shop ever since he was a little boy with his parents. We are so glad we were able to stop by as a treat after dinner after 30+ years. As someone who is dairy-free, I do appreciate that there are options for me. They have vanilla, chocolate, and a twist of both, which is what I ordered. My husband and mother-in-law ordered the pumpkin ice cream with chocolate fudge on the side. My dairy-free ice cream had just enough sweetness for me and it was creamy and held a nice consistency. It was my first time here and staff was nice and friendly. It also was not busy when we went, which made getting in and out of there easy. I highly recommend if you’re looking for ice cream in Bloomington! Especially, even just for a “jiffy.”
