My mom ordered the sushi platter but was given a plate of only sashimi. I personally got the lunch box and it was good but would not get again. Service was really good. It was freezing inside.
Ami's is a sit down restaurant, and a good place to get Korean Bibimbap, raw Japanese Sushi, or Chinese soup noodles. It's got safe options for family members who don't dig the whole authentic Asian food thing, like Beef Teriyaki, Shrimp Tempura, and cooked Sushi. I would say it straddles a good middle zone of affordability vs quality, and popular vs authentic. College students love it and it never breaks my budget.
Decent sushi, but not the best spot in town (that would be Sushi Bar on the corner of Hwy 46 & 10th.) Ramen is also not great. Additionally, their gyoza recipe needs tweaked, especially the dipping sauce (needs more tanginess and body for authenticity and flavor!) I will say, however, that they have a good house salad + soup combo with most of their meals.
