Truffles Fine Cuisine & 56 Degrees Bar

Food was ok, some dishes better than others . Server was not knowledgeable about the menu. T

The food was good, our waiter Jeremiah was attentive. Only negative was the wait was very slow for food and drinks to arrive

The service was entirely too slow. We waited over an hour for our petite filets.... The whole dinner took almost 3 hours due this slowness I don't believe it was the waitstaff's fault. The system was broken or not working. I saw poor communication etc You did have two large parties... but it was noticeably slow.... Also, our med well filets were red... med rare was more like it. I was ok with it, but my date needed it cooked more... it was still pretty red after that I'd try again, but I'll leave before I put up with that slow service again. Trying to be specific and helpful here.

I think this is the first time i've bothered to review a restaurant, but I was unusally impressed. We often have the 3 generation problem, where the older folks want a quiet high quality meal, the younger ones want to get up and run around with a french fry in each hand, and the middle ones try to meet both expectations and usually fail. Not only was the food excellent, but on a particularly uncontrollable night, the staff engaged meaningfully with the kids (one kid even insisted on presenting them with a flower and crayon drawing in thanks) and helped us shepard them out of the way as it started to get busier. No frowns or grimaces or the like, as we've had elsewhere in town, and a particular shout out to our waitress Caroline, who even chased us down outside with a forgotten diaper fold, and the guy hanging around the front door who seemed to be a manager, who told the kids the best places to play before it got busy. This is not the sort of place that seems to routinely handle large unruly families, so it was all the more unexpected and appreciated.

We had a really delicious meal, and personally we thought it was excellent. We had pork with a bone in it and it was so delicious and juicy not over cooked and dry kudos to the chef! my husband had a beer and I had really nice glass of a French wine that was amazing. we're visiting our son, who is a student at Indiana university. what a nice place! the chef came out to say hello and asked what we thought and told about other great items on the menu. We will visit again.

I’ve been to Truffles several times with my wife and we’ve usually enjoyed it. We especially like going when oysters or swordfish are on the menu, since that sets them apart in town. On our last visit, I really enjoyed the chicken, and my wife’s duck was good, though the hash it came with was mushy and not a great match. Overall, it’s still a nice date spot, but it feels like other restaurants in the area have stepped up more than Truffles lately.

We were sat at the bar immediately upon arrival, since we came in before our reservation. We had a few drinks, then we were taken to our table and we had great service and great food! I loved the filet and I would return here again!

We have dined here before and enjoyed it. This particular time my food was just OK and the service was just OK.

Excellent place to dine. Took my wife and son and it was excellent. The bass on the specials was fantastic. More wine than shown on the menu. Fantastic!!!!

Very talented chef! Our dishes were outstanding. The meat doneness, seasoning and flavors were perfectly balanced. Loved our server as well, very attentive :)

I feel bad but honestly the only thing that earned 2 stars was the server. She deserved 5 but food took a decent amount of time, which was fine but was not good. A “medium” burger was so burnt it was inedible (pasta and burgers), one drink took almost 45 minutes. A drink! That's on the menu! When we walked in it took 8 minutes for us to even be greeted and we had a reservation! There was liquor all over the dining room floor? Like boxes of it? Not the stuff for show? And we watched the bartender struggle the entire time to keep up while the manager stood there behind the bar only chatting with two guests and neglecting to help. When we alerted the server that our food was unfortunately just awful, we watched the manager berate her and the other server on rather than assisting them with their decent dinner rush. This experience was BAFFLING.

Great place to eat and relax.

Chef Bob is an excellent chef. Food is nicely prepared and is brought to the table hot and well plated. Caroline was an amazing wait staff--friendly and knowledgeable.
