Been going here for valentine dinners with me wife for the last 3 years. Service has gone down. So has the food. I booked a booth, not a table. Well we got a table. Hopefully it will be better next year. If not guess we will look for a new place to restart our tradition
The food was good but not good enough to justify the cost. The restaurant is in a retail area but outside lighting is not good, we were not sure they were even open. Service was fine but there was only a few people in the restaurant. Food was good but for the price not good enough. This is a 3-4 star restaurant, charging 5 star prices.
well, to start with we made a reservation on OpenTable and looked at the menu through the OpenTable app. The menu at the restaurant was significantly higher, when we asked the manager about it she was extremely rude and sassy and said “well I fact checked you and our website shows the same menu.” then she went on to say it wasn't worth the call to OpenTable to correct it. She was very arrogant and rude. We almost left, but didn't. I for one will never go back. also, we were the only ones there at 6 o'clock eating, and our food took forever to get, there was a lot of noise coming from the bar, which is right in the main dining area. I would say the manager is not doing this restaurant any favors they should probably reconsider someone who has a better approach than just pure arrogant and rudeness. I was just asking a question. I wasn't being rude in anyway .
Everytime I've been at this place the last several years, it has an awful odor as soon as you walk in. Like they've never cleaned the carpet or floors. Food was okay. Service average.
They have no values for customer attitude aysa jese pta nai duniya ya pakistan ka last restaurant hy reservation k lie call ki unhon ne dusra number de dia us p contact kia details di 24 ghanton me msg seen kiye ja rhy hyn jawab dena inko gawara nai h. Jo customer ko value nai de skty wo service kya deingy . Much disappointed . Pathetic service bx social media p advertise kese krna h wo pta h jhut logon se kese bulwana hy wo pta h in reality totally different
The food and service were wonderful, however the owner was extremely rude. Hate to see a great restaurant with terrible management.

Called to increase the number of people and the lady on the phone said after holding a bit that they could accommodate at 8:30 I called to confirm and the man who answered said no that all employees were told no more large parties and she was wrong So after confirming with my party they said no that person was mistaken with zero accountability on their part and no attempt to make it right
Food was generally very good with a few tweaks would be fantastic....like the veg was over cooked. Staff really struggled with alcohol drinks, knowing what they had, what they didn't and providing timely responses. Our server was new and was learning which was acceptable but struggled taking and remembering orders. The place was pretty empty so had no real ambiance, but could imagine it would when busier. Nice place, food was good, service needs improvement and a little over priced, but despite that, we would go back again to give it another chance
well, the food is always great, and the initial kerfluffle was addressed but we were disappointed with our initial table...a tiny 2. top next to the servers station. We had an early reservation-545-and there were 8 booths open at the time, along with a scattering of other tables. But we were directed to what should be a last minute, no reservation type table. It's under a spotlight, next to the servers station with lots of traffic, and generally not hospitable. Upon request, we were able to get a comfortable booth and advised to specify "booth" when we make reservations. We were left wondering whether 2 men would've even been directed to this table. We'll definitely be back, because the food and service are very good but have to say that that tiny 2 top table should be a last resort or ditched. By the way, by the time we left there was only one other booth (out of 8) that was occupied.
We celebrated my husband's birthday at Truffles. We live 60+ miles from Bloomington. We alway choose another wonderful Bloomington restaurant for special occasions but decided to give Truffles a try for a change. This was our first visit and really enjoyed our dinner. We started with the warm pine nut crusted goat cheese with toasted ciabatta bread. We both decided on the 5 oz. filet (which is a part of the 56 Degree bar plate menus). Our filet was delicious! Our dinner came with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli, both were delicious! The only disappoints of the evening were 1) I noted on our Open Table reservation that we were celebrating my husband's birthday. That was not acknowledged at all and 2) we asked for additional ciabatta bread to finish our goat cheese appetizer and were charged $2 for the additional 2-3 slices to finish our already $15 appetizer. Those were the only disappointments for the evening. I would definitely recommend Truffles for any special occasion or romantic dinner!

Truffles is truly a gem! The food, drinks, and service are all truly first class. They have an extensive wine list and a menu of carefully crafted cocktails. We have never experienced a meal that was less than perfectly prepared and delicious. This is one of our very favorite go to restaurants! You will never regret an evening at Truffles!
I made this reservation for executives from my office knowing the quiet ambiance would be appreciated. The restaurant was not busy, very few customers at the time, yet it took over 30 min for someone to come to their table. People would walk by and look over, they did a little wave to grab their attention, but were ignored. The only redeeming factor was the meal was good. I was asked to remove Truffles from the list of dinner meeting locations if that tells you anything.
*Mediocre strip mall meal with high end stand alone restaurant prices. FINE DINING FRAUD
Researched reviews before going here with our family. Atmosphere was tasteful and unique, and cozy. Service was friendly but slow and not very attentive. Menu is extremely limited with ZERO options for children/ neurodivergent eaters. All of our soft drinks were served in alcohol branded glass which was so tacky, embarrassing, and immoral. Our childs sprite was served in a Bud Light glass. We were sitting at the restaurant not the bar! Carelessness and an ignorant oversite for anyone in sobriety. Service highly suggested an appetizer due to food being backed up for so long. We inevitably ordered the bread with butter. It was nothing like in the pictures. Just crusty and stale ciabatta. Service did take forever to get our main courses out. One of our orders was not correct and had to be sent back. Food was visually attractive. Quality and taste was not. The halibut was gummy and all vegetables were limp and soggy. The most expensive cut of steak was not cooked to requested wellness and other than a light sear tasted like they may have boiled it! The "fresh" Millers chicken was either frozen or had been left in brine way too long giving the meats consistency of poorly prepared tofu. The polenta was off and the texture was not proper. Was more like 2 day old cornbread that had been misted with water before microwaving. Somewhat rubbery. The garlic confit pasta was dull and too oily. The contents were also slimy and limp with too much oil pooling at the bottom of the dish. Pasta was al dente and dish lacked salt. The Truffle fries were soggy and seemed old. Truffle aioli was good. Asked for ketchup and was served cocktail sauce. Every meal that we ordered seemed suspiciously reheated and not fresh yet we paid around $50 a plate. I would assume that being a Thursday the food was prepared the weekend before and catered through the whole week. Do not recommend this restaurant for food at all. NOT
WORTH THE MONEY.

Everything was just kinda average. There is only one vegetarian option, which is ravioli! And the prices are way over the top for what you receive. The atmosphere is a bit stale and things look like they could be just a little cleaner. Where I sat, I could clearly see the trashcan that was sitting in the kitchen. This was on a Monday at 6 PM and we were the only customer in the restaurant from the time that we arrived until the time that we left.

Excellent bar and drinks. The wine list is excellent albeit a bit pricey if you want a bottle. Individual glasses are priced at normal rates. The food was very nicely prepared and presented. The wait staff is attentive but not overly so. This is one of the better restaurants in Bloomington and is great for an upscale meal on special occasions. We've never had a bad meal or experience here. Also great for taking out of town visitors for a nice meal. It's quiet so you can have a conversation with your dinner.
