A fun spot for a meal. Location is hard to beat and quite lively in the summer. I think the burgers are very good, on the salty side so if that's not your thing your mileage may vary but I enjoy them. Service is mostly high school age folks, my experience has been mostly solid but nothing stand out, hence the 3. A good, classic Carmel spot!

I had a very stressful experience. I called to place an order over the phone, but the team member could not hear due to the background noise in the restaurant. He yelled really loudly when reading my credit card number, expiration, and security code back and he repeated the numbers multiple times. I am sure that others in the restaurant heard and I am cancelling the card, which is a huge pain. When I arrived to pick up food 10 min later, the doors were locked. They must have started closing early. The team member said nothing on the phone about my order being too late.

Overall great place. It is quite on the more expensive side, but definitely worth it. The elk patty is delicious and sweet. I highly recommend it over the regular beef.

The Big Ugly! That pretty much says it all! Probably the best hamburger I've ever had from a restaurant. I've been to three of the Indy area Bub's, and they've all been exceptional. The service staff at this one is exemplary! Thanks, Kevin!!

I didn’t personally try the ice cream because I’m lactose intolerant, however, my nephew seemed rather pleased. Nevertheless, I feel strongly that the ice cream scooper should have had a greater sense of urgency given the circuitous line that had formed.
Fabulous burger, great atmosphere and yummy shakes. Always a great time.

Ugly never tasted so good! 😄 We shared the sloppy waffle fries (messy and awesome), I went for the “Twice as Ugly” and my wife had the “Settle for Less Ugly.” Both burgers were juicy, tasty, and cooked just right. The cookies & cream milkshake? Ohhh wow… pure happiness in a glass!
Big thanks to our super polite server who even spoke a little Spanish with us — made us feel right at home. We’ll be back for more “ugly” soon!

The burger was out of this world an since I was traveling and not near Bub's - I bought their burger seasoning and plan to grind a chuck roast to recreate the goodness.
