Love you guy's

I'm heartbroken to hear that this restaurant is out of business. Salvatore's, a restaurant owned by the same person and with much the same food as J Razzo's, was the first restaurant my parents took me when I was born. Salvatore's and then J Razzo's have always been at the top of my list of favorite restaurants even after traveling and finding all kinds of places across the country. The bread sticks here, especially, were the best of the best--I once drove about 5 hours to get them. I'll never find their like anywhere else, and I'll always miss them. I hope they open up another place someday, and that I hear about it if they do.

Where do I begin? First, I understand this is a closed business. Believe me, I UNDERSTAND why it's closed but I heard they may try to reopen. I was greeted by a man who looked like a small pile of gravel sprinkled with grease, aftershave, and Miller Lite. He kept saying "this is MY west-a-waunt" as if that were something he should be proud of. Perhaps saying it like a 4 year old was suppose to add charm? Regardless, we reluctantly ordered. Our mini pizza appetizers were saltines with ketchup and Parmesan cheese. I ordered a basic lasagna that was served in its original microwave tray. I questioned this and the small grease monster replied "so it's good enough for Opera, but not yous!?!?" Took me a second to realize he meant Oprah. I said I expected fresh and he said "I wish you had said something before you ordered!" WTF? I asked if I was supposed to look into the future. He then told me a 20 minute story about the 3 weeks in 1986 that he could see the future. All while shoveling peanut butter crackers in his mouth. At this point we asked for the check. It was considerably more than expected based off the awful food and service. As we were leaving the small drunken hobbit yelled "thanks for being white!" Really? Anyway, a week later my phone rings. A familiar voice on the other end says "you really shoulda tried my parmesans!" I hung up and the phone continue to ring. The next morning at 2am we heard the sound of feet shuffling downstairs and the dog barked. I went down to find a $5 gift card to Long John Silvers and a note that said "Sowwy bout the foods". Side note, the gift card was hand made and invalid. Honestly, if they reopen I may give it one more chance but that's it!

Was a wonderful place to eat. Sadly it closed.

A little piece of Firenze (Florence, IT) just left Indy this night. Sorry to see them go, hopeful they will come me back in another location or fashion. Truly authentic Northern Italian

We absolutely love Razzo2 for its Authentic Italian recipes, and we love Jerri! She's an amazing server and mixologist. Thank you so much for putting another delicious evening in the books for us!

My friends and I had another really excellent lunch at J. Razzo's. Each of us loved our entrees, and we shared a bottle of wine (1/2 Price Wednesdays). We are terribly sad to find that J. Razzo's is closing due to loss of business (nearby city construction and access issues) because it is one of our very favorite restaurants.

Thanks

Waitress was really bad. She was experienced and knew the regulars, but we were hard pressed to get another glass of wine or beer. Smoking by the front door was also an issue walking in and out.

My friend and I had another excellent meal at J. Razzo's. It was a sad occasion, since it may be the last time we dine there before they close. We've enjoyed so many delicious meals there, and the service is always friendly and attentive. We're really going to miss J. Razzo's and wish Mr. Perazzo the best in the coming days, hoping he will find another venue.

So sad to hear one of our favorites will be closing. My family has been dining at Razzos and Salvatore's since 1988. The same chicken Veneto and breadsticks for nearly 30 years - and always always great!! Yes, so very sad. All the best to John and his staff. Thank you for decades of great service!

We celebrated my friend's birthday, and enjoyed another delicious meal. Our server was friendly, helpful, and she said that the kitchen could prepare a simple balsamic chicken dish that's not on the menu - my friend's favorite. My chicken Marsala was tender and tasty, and the fresh breadsticks are always a treat. We both finished with excellent pies - not made in-house, but by the best pie bakery in the area. We love J. Razzo's!

We have introduced many friends to Razzo2, and it was our Greenfield friends who suggested we go back to your restaurant for, besides the wonderful food and service, your freshly made, hand crafted Lemon Drop Martinis! Three of the four of us enjoyed one, and my husband loved his Negroni! What wonderful fun we had! Thank you for a fabulous evening!

Mom and I are here from out of town and we were looking for something simple and relaxing for dinner. This hit the spot. We both started with the Razzo Italian salad which was very good. Then we both had chicken Marsala. The main dish was nice size and very good. My hubby still makes the best Marsala, but this was a good second! And most of all - a nice environment that was not so loud like many restaurants are now days.

Nice atmosphere, cozy and quiet. Lots of menu options. Service was great. We told the server we had a show to catch and we were finished in less than an hour and still had a delicious dinner. The coffee we had with our dessert was very good. We will return but next time when we have more time to savor the place- it's worth it.
