Stopped by for a quick work lunch. Typical Mexican food options but VERY fast service and plentiful plate! Affordable too (especially for Carmel)!

We were not a fan of the salsa. Food was okay, felt like the average mexican food.

Huge place! Nice food and nice atmosphere. Had never eaten at one of those restaurants before. It was worth the stop.

La Hacienda used to be our favorite restaurant in Carmel. But, we moved out of state a few years ago and haven't been there since. We were passing through Carmel today and couldn't wait to eat there again. Our experience was not good. I sure hope they were just having one bad day and it hasn't slipped this far. It started with our server informing us that they don't have unsweetened tea, just sweet tea. Then, once we ordered, it seemed like forever before we got our food. It was probably 20 to 25 minutes. When the food arrived, the grilled chicken strips in the Arroz con Pollo were overcooked and dry. They seemed like they had been sitting under a warmer for quite a while. The rice was actually crunchy. The Chile Colorado was very good. The tortillas were great. The chips and salsa were great. Our server seemed very unfriendly, almost surly. Of course, we'll give La Hacienda another try the next time we're in town. We won't give up based on just one negative experience.

I wish I could visit more often. I was in town for a symposium and went there for dinner the night we arrived. The best Mexican food I've had in such a long time! I asked if they could grill me a side of jalapeños and they happily did so. The Margarita was perfect, also. Very friendly and clean.

Quick, hot and delicious!! I'll be back
The BEST sopa de pollo I've ever had!
The food was great! The service was decent for lunch time and no crowd the server seemed to pay more attention to his phone than his tables. I'd go back for sure.

Ordered takeout - the bags of chips we paid extra for were about 1/4 full (the picture of the bag is before we had any) with all crumbs. Not a single chip even big enough to dip in salsa. The biggest one in the picture is about the size of a quarter. Do not order from here!
