Disappointing Experience for Family Celebration
I ordered two family-style meals for carryout on Sunday, August 17th for a special family celebration, spending $150. When picking up the order, I specifically asked the clerk if he had double-checked everything, and he confirmed that he had.
After driving 20 minutes home, we discovered there was no rice included with our order. When I called the restaurant, they said we would need to drive back to pick up the missing rice - a 40-minute round trip that significantly disrupted our family gathering.
Half of our family had to eat without rice while the others waited for us to return. This split our celebration and left everyone frustrated. The restaurant offered a package of handmade pita as compensation, but we already had plenty of pita, and it would go stale quickly anyway. A gesture like baklava would have been more thoughtful.
For a $150 order and a special family occasion, I expected better attention to detail and customer service. The clerk's assurance that everything was correct when it clearly wasn't made the situation worse. What should have been a happy celebration became a stressful experience.

Dry chicken and rice ..compared to other locations of naf naf they don’t put enough chicken in the order ..maybe this is the reason they are always slow..

We like ordering from Naf Naf but recent order came in plastic bowls. Disappointed by that. It used to be paper bowls. All plastic is toxic especially if you put hot food in it.

It was ok. I barely got a spoon full of chicken on my bowl and what I got wasn't all that flavorful. The pita bread was great. Fluffy and warm. Wish there were more options for veggies. The couscous was very good

I see this eatery a lot so I finally decided to give it a try. The food was not good in my opinion. It did not taste mediterranean at all to me. In fact, it was flavorless. Very clean dine in area. Very clean restrooms. The staff is friendly and nice.

I visit Naf Naf Middle Eastern Grill in Carmel at least 7 times a month, and there's a reason for that — it's consistently excellent. The food, the service, the flavors — everything hits the mark every time.

My go-to order is the steak shawarma bowl with basmati rice, fresh veggies, and their addictive garlic sauce. The steak is always juicy, perfectly seasoned, and packed with flavor. What really takes the bowl to the next level, though, is their spicy hummus and harissa sauce. The spicy hummus adds just the right amount of heat and creaminess, while the harissa brings a bold, smoky kick that ties everything together beautifully.

Their falafel is also a standout — crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and full of authentic Middle Eastern flavor. Even as a meat-eater, I make sure to include falafel in every order.

And let’s not forget the freshly baked pita — warm, fluffy, and perfect for dipping or scooping up the last bites of hummus and sauce.

The restaurant is always clean, the staff is friendly, and the service is quick almost always lol, ideal for busy days when you still want something truly satisfying.

Whether you're new to Middle Eastern cuisine or already a fan, Naf Naf in Carmel is a must-try.

I ordered a rice bowl with chicken shawarma and it was very good. I really enjoyed the garlic sauce and the fresh toppings. Make sure to get the Baklava. Service was friendly and fast.
