Fancy looking establishment but unfortunately everything else fell flat. We stopped here for lunch and were one of the first people there. Sat right around, put in our orders and then from there everything took forever. I can be patient with that but it was over lunch and I would think restaurants in the area would be better equipped to deal with the lunch rush. I saw our server putting in our order a good 10 mins after we ordered then we had to chase him down just to give him money. Food wise. Standard Mexican menu with lunch specials during the week. The carnitas tacos were delicious but if they're going to upcharge for street corn, I would expect more than a ramekins worth. All in all, just disappointing

It's okay. The chips and salsa aren't flowing here. Glasses are small, so frequently flagging for refills of drink or salsa. I had the beef nachos, not my style, personally and I wonder if a beef Taco has the same odd flavored meat. Anyway, the atmosphere is great, great location and if you're lucky, parking right up front. Maybe the chicken is better. Solid 3 stars.

Verde is SUPER! The food (which is always delicious!!!), is more than just the usual fare. We had char -grilled octopus! Fantastic. Sure, you can get chimichangas too. Everything will be great. I love the plants and stone decor! And, to add to everything the place is conveniently on main Street before you get into the busy downtown! The staff is very attentive also!

We were excited to try this restaurant, as there is a lack of good Mexican food in Carmel. I will say, we are vegetarian and ordered the veg chimichangas. They were pretty bad - they seemed to just put a bag of steamed veggies (broccoli, peas, carrots, squash) as the filling. No salsa, just mayonnaise on top. Then refried beans and rice and queso on the side. The non-veg guests said their food was pretty good. I would highly suggest vegetarians not eat here or at least not order the veg chimichangas. otherwise it was a nice ambiance.

Been many times and it's always been good. This time, our waiter told us that unless we wanted something else we'd have to leave as someone else had a reservation. WTH! Management seemed to as upset as we were and I'm sure that will be dealt with. Food is great so don't let one bone head move influence your decision just had to get it out there .

Two other friends and I ate at the Carmel location Verde last night. Food was fine, but our service could have been better. When our order was being taken, I asked for a bottle of hot sauce as I had done in prior visits. Then we each ordered a house margarita, two with salt as we both find the margaritas too sweet without the salt. When our drinks came, a small condiment bowl of hot salsa was also brought, which was fine as a replacement for the bottle of hot sauce, although that is not what we asked for. We then later ordered another round of drinks, but had to stop our server to ask for another round. She confirmed two with salt, then when she brought the drinks, one had salt and one only had a few flakes of salt on the rim on the white salt side, and a few more flakes on the spicy salt side. When I asked about the salt, she said it looks like the bartender didn't do a good job with the salt and asked if I'd like more salt. I said yes, assuming she'd replace the drink ($15 each), but instead, she brought a small condiment bowl of salt to me. Not sure if she expected me to apply salt with my fingers - I tried, but the salt stuck to my fingers and not the glass. What was I to do with the salt? She never checked back to see if everything was satisfactory. When the checks came, I was charged $1.50 for the hot salsa (that I didn't feel like I ordered), but it was a small amount so I didn't say anything but it still felt wrong, coupled with the missing rim salt on the margarita. Maybe our server (Lauren) was new, or maybe she wasn't trained properly. (Or maybe that is how Verde trains their servers?? But, I've not had a bad experience there previously, so who knows.) Ambience-wise, the music was a little too loud to hear our conversations, but otherwise fine. Just turn down the music one notch or two and it would make a more enjoyable experience.

This is without a doubt my favorite place in the entire franchise, I had never visited it and decided to give it a try. The drinks have a very glamorous touch since they have the best bar tender in all of Indy Ever. I love green

I was very excited to have dinner at this place so we made reservations for 7 people. It was a Friday night so it was busy. The place looked good and had good ambience. I was a little thrown off by the small size of the booth they sat us. Extremely cozy to say the least but I guess we did not have much control about that. We noticed the music was loud and was techno. Nothing to do with any kind of Latin vibe which was weird because there is a lot of great modern music geared towards younger crowds that is at least related to the type of cuisine you are experiencing. It was ok for the first 10 minutes but the sound was so intense we decided to politely request a different type of music or at least to turn the volume down a bit as this is a restaurant and not a club. The waiter said that people actually didn't like Latin music and that is what they were playing... again the time went on and this is the type of music that grows on you... not in a good way but in the way of a headache so we tried again. Then again they declined our request saying that it was only our table complaining so they would not do anything about it. Our food was served and it was ok for some and for others the rice and beans were very stingy, so mixed reviews here. Honestly at that point we just wanted to get the hell out of there because the experience was not enjoyable at all and the way the so called manager handled it was rude and wrong. He never even bothered coming to our table, actually avoided it and it was the poor waiter the one telling us nothing could be done. Finally before we left they decided to turn the volume down a bit. Too late for that. None of us will return to that place again!!!! What happened to hospitality? Management? Horrible!!!!! How about alternating the freaking music to keep all people happy and not only the drunks seated at the bar which by the way I don't think had any idea they were at a restaurant not a club. HORRIBLE!!!! I have 2 stars as I am a generous person. Please do not call yourself flavors of Mexico when you can't even play any kind of Latin music and the experience lacks so much. Verde like the color of my face when I think about that night. Ugh!!
