I was charged 20% gratuity for 4 people dining in. I don’t have a problem paying my bill it’s the fact I go to Verde on 86th Street very often I have never been charged gratuity for dining with 3 other people… it just so happened we could not get reservations which is why we decided to come to this location for the first time and last time! We had the best dinner at Verde last night! Super delicious food, wonderful service and the flowers and plants are so beautiful- a wonderful atmosphere! 5 stars!
From the time we walked in the door, ordered our food and ate, the attention to detail and service was outstanding! The food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this place.

Verde Flavors of Mexico Carmel is a Mexican restaurant known for its consistent food and service. The Burrito Mexicana (Veggie) is excellent, and the margaritas, especially the jalapeño margarita, are always delicious. Enchiladas w/mole sauce are large and tasty, while the beef chimichanga is small and not very tasty. Queso fundido is amazing, and the flaming ice cream dessert was served for a birthday without charge. The arrachera and ribeye tacos with bone marrow are exceptional. The ceviche is really nice, and the restaurant gives many chips. Service can be slow during busy times, but servers are attentive and nice. The ambience is amazing with beautiful interior and unusual wood tables. The restaurant is a true gem for authentic Mexican flavors.
