Couldn't ask for anything more in a local bar. Friendly faces, fun atmosphere, felt welcome. The Bartender was so good to us and cheerful too. Wish I'd asked his name. We were actually heading several miles further west to check out another place but I spotted the sign and the Brown Jug just kinda called to me. Glad we came in. Great food! Cheeseburger was excellent and so was the chicken salad sandwich, both made to order. Bar seats looked really comfortable and also cozy tables...read full review

The food was ok. Quite a few of the pictures on here are not of The Brown Jug. It is definitely a small town tavern that looks straight out of 1980. I didn’t realize that smoking was allowed inside but patrons were lighting up and ashtrays on the table. The bartender was friendly but the menu is very limited and written on a chalkboard above the bar.
