Family of four stopped in for dinner. This place was not your typical Mexican restaurant. The food was on point, the servers were very friendly, and the price was great. The atmosphere was only 4 stars because it was really loud. Every conversation was echoing and it was hard to hear our own conversation. Given the layout, I don't think much could be done to change that.

They were very busy when we were there for dinner, so our service was somewhat slow. Food was good but margaritas were a disappointment.

Very fun, very friendly, very tasty local restaurant; my husband and I adore the food and atmosphere. Staff are flexible to adjust for my food sensitivities, which I deeply appreciate. Service is quite good. We will surely return again and again!
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are clearly labeled and adjustments to menu items are not a problem for the staff here.
Dietary restrictions: Staff are helpful and flexible with food restrictions of all sorts, definitely.
Kid-friendliness: The front end of the restaurant is separated from the bar in the back end, and I typically see families seated at the front. They have options for kids on the menu and the staff are kind and considerate.

My niece recommended this place since we were coming in from Fort Wayne. I’m picky about Mexican food. We came in right as they were closing at 2 on Friday afternoon. We didn’t realize they were closing. Tracy, the server, insisted we stay. She was so friendly and made sure we didn’t run out of anything. The salsa was actually full of flavor. The chips were a little hard but the second batch was better. The food was hot and delicious and more than enough to leave feeling full. The atmosphere wasn’t fancy or even all that nice but it is clear they put their money and time into the food and that is why I came here.

Someone I know through work gave me a little tip that I should try out a little place on main Street in Columbia City called Señor Fajitas. After experiencing the cozy atmosphere and the wonderful food, I'm sure that anyone local to the Columbia City area already knows when I'm about to say. You might be a little hesitant to pull open that little orange door off of main street with the hours painted on it under the Señor Fajitas sign but don't be. The atmosphere that you will find inside is warm and inviting and you won't forget the food. The place really exudes the feeling of a small mom and pop authentic Mexican place. You really get the feeling that everybody knows each other and the staff treats you like family.Onto the food. The salsa! I mean it's good enough to buy a big jug of it and I think maybe they even sell it by the container. If you want to have it. I probably could have just had chips and the salsa all night long. I really really missed out by not having any of the queso so I'm going to have to get some of that the next time I go back.I have eaten at many of the Mexican restaurants around town and both my wife and I feel like we had some of the best authentic Mexican that we've had at Señor Fajitas. I ordered the tacos al pastor traditional with onion and cilantro with soft corn tortillas. I'm not usually a huge cilantro fan, but these tacos were amazing. They were served with a green salsa that wasn't very spicy at all but was very very flavorful. All together. They were some of the best tacos that I've had. My wife had the hard tacos with chicken topped with lettuce, tomato and cheese. She really enjoyed them and commented that they were some of the best tacos she had as well.If you haven't visited this small Mexican place right off of main Street, I really encourage you to do so and support your local restaurant owners while having some really great food.
