Zaharakos Reviews
The employees are so rude every single time we go. It’s never the same employee. It’s just seems that’s how it is there. They closed the food service at 6 on a Saturday night, started flipping every single chair at 8 while people were still seated and they didn’t even close until 9. It stays busy because it’s pretty and a landmark but if this was just a regular business it would not do as well. The wait times for food and a greeting are also so long.
Was very disappointed in both the service and the quality of the food! Pretty sure they left three of the cheeses, the cream, and the flavor out of the 4 cheese Mac n Cheese; the bacon (or most of it) out of the BLT; the cheese curds were reportedly bland (especially since they no longer have the marinara that was listed on the menu)! The fries & ice cream were decent and the place is gorgeous! Definitely won’t be going back for a meal - maybe dessert?!?
The parlor is a glimpse of amazing history. The ice cream actually tastes like homemade (made on site). Very delish. We had the brownie sundae. It was a huge serving! Hot fudge was amazing! They do serve sandwiches, etc. There is a lot of antique instruments. One was playing while there. Added nicely to the atmosphere. Service was great. Jennifer was very friendly and she provided great service. Nice conversation. Very clean place from Parlor to the restroom. Would go back!!!...read full review

Zaharakos is a charming spot in downtown Columbus, offering exceptional ice cream, including top-notch Pistachio and a delicious chocolate bar. The unique soda shop features antique collectibles and self-playing musical instruments, creating a memorable experience. The staff accommodate dietary restrictions and provide excellent service, making it a must-visit destination. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the food is delicious, with sizable portions well worth the money and top quality. They have new daily specials and new flavors like raspberry and coffee. The homemade pound cake with homemade vanilla ice cream and homemade pineapple sauce was delicious. Visitors enjoy the beautiful antiques and nostalgic ambiance, which adds to the charm. The ice cream tastes homemade and fresh, and the large brownie sundae with hot fudge is highly praised. Service is friendly and attentive, and the place is very clean, from the parlor to the restroom. Overall, Zaharakos is a wonderful place to enjoy ice cream and experience a glimpse of history, making it a favorite for many.
