Prime Steakhouse offers a fabulous atmosphere and excellent customer service. The meals, such as the perfectly cooked lamb chops, are very good, and the restaurant is accommodating to dietary needs. It is considered one of the best upscale restaurants in Crown Point and is a favorite place for special occasions. The atmosphere is more fine dining, and the service is professional and friendly. The restaurant is located inside "The Square," the center of downtown Crown Point, with plenty of other places and activities nearby. Parking can be tricky since it’s on the square; guests might find a spot off the square or opt to walk a short distance. The menu features high-quality steaks, with the dry aged bone-in Rib Eye Steak and fillet being highly recommended. Prices for steak dinners are around $40 to $50, but many find them worth it.
While the food quality is generally high, there have been some issues, such as the Chicken Marsala not meeting expectations. The chicken was not tender and lacked the typical coating, tasting more like teriyaki chicken with mushrooms. The restaurant does not have a gluten-free menu, but staff are knowledgeable, and dietary restrictions are accommodated. Overall, the meals, including steak, mashed potatoes, and asparagus with creme brulee for dessert, are very good and enjoyed by most. One member received a poor cut of filet, but it was likely an isolated incident.
