Our son uses a speech device primarily to communicate and was super interested in the iPad the waitress was using to order. She asked him what he wanted and then offered him to order everyone's food and drink using the iPad himself. He was extremely happy to be able to do that, as most people don't direct questions to him due to him being mostly non-verbal. We appreciate her kindness in giving him that opportunity and making his day. When they left, our daughter had left behind a stuffed animal and the waitress came out to the car to make sure they didn't leave without it. Eating out can be a very stressful situation for us in general, but I think we have found a new lunch spot!”
