Food isn’t impressive. Presentation comes off as pretentious for the cost…. It’s awkward. Plus I’ve never seen such a thing as their crème brûlée. It was an abomination.

If you like good food but are ok with a poor experience, then you’ll like this place. First off we got turned away when there was an empty restaurant because we did not have a reservation. So we made a reservation for a hour later and unsurprisingly, there were still the same amount of empty tables when we arrived. They started to seat us without even checking the reservation this time so not sure what the point in making the reservation was. We then wait for over 20 min without anyone making eye contact with us and watched the wait staff pass us multiple times. We get an apology and then order our drinks. Then the server comes back and asks us if we are going to eat and want food menus. Well of course, we are out to dinner what kind of question is that?! Mind you, we are in the dinning area and not the bar. At this point it was over 45 minutes from walking into the restaurant before we’re able to order our meal. They did end up comping our drink, so there was an attempt to fix the situation. The only thing that was positive about this experience was that the food was exceptional but everything else was far from that. I am very disappointed in our experience because my husband and I were celebrating our 13 year anniversary. Not going to come back here.

I found this place on OpenTable and noted that it has good reviews and the menu looked good. I got there late and sat at the bar. They weren't crowded at all, maybe only 3 tables taken and one man sitting at the bar. I was greeted quickly by the bartender and provided with menus. I ordered the Artisan Salad and the Shrimp Risotto. They came out one at a time with ample time to finish the salad before the entreé arrived. Both dishes were prepared well, had great flavor, and were good portions. I ate every bite of both! I had a great experience and look forward to returning.

Since we had tickets for a Saturday Notre Dame football game, we reserved a hotel room for Friday and Saturday night in Elkhart. We knew it would be stadium food on Saturday so, for Friday, we searched for an upscale restaurant close to our hotel. We selected Artisons and it did not disappoint. The food was exceptional, as well as the selection, service and atmosphere. If we could give it more than a 5 star rating, we would.
Excellent meal and very attentive service. We had the Thai salad and the Artisan salad, oysters, shrimp risotto and panna cotta for dessert. Everything was excellent and different enough from the menu at Cascade to make it another one our favorite restaurants.

This is a wonderful restaurant for a date night, though we also saw friends, couples, and a father-daughter evening. The tasting menu is a great value and provides an opportunity to sample different dishes. Creative cocktail list, including non-alcoholic, and fine wine list. Service was attentive without being overwhelming. We had a great time.

We did the 5 course dinner sampler paired with wine at each course. The food was exquisite. The risotto with shrimp was one of the best I've ever had. Each course and wine when served was explained.
