We stopped in this beautiful winery after a week of traveling and working and the first thing I can say is, I was welcomed by everyone in this establishment. Owners and guests! Everyone was friendly, pleasant and in good spirits. Larry the owner came and introduced himself and we went through the wine tasting. Although I am a very light drinker I tried 2 types of wines which were absolutely delicious. Larry informed me all wines are made in house and even hand labeled. Such a delight! I would recommend this place to all, it’s a great place to get to know the locals and considering I was coming for a quick drink, 2 hours later I was still there laughing with Larry and his lovely wife. I shall definitely be returning when next in town. 5*

We stopped in when we had a 45-minute wait at a nearby restaurant. Great decision! Larry is a fantastic host. He makes his own wine and has a nice selection. You get 2 free samples. The quality of the wine was excellent and the prices were very good. The seating area is well done and cozy. Will definitely find our way back here.

We are from Ohio and dropped in for a tasting and not only found the wines delightful, but also the owner! We visited with other customers too while there and they suggested we go to Iechyd Da Brewing to eat. We loved the pizza and the owner told us some background of the place. She was so friendly we purchased tee shirts! Very enjoyable evening in Elkhart, IN.

We found ourselves in Elkhart on a weekend getaway and stumbled upon this hidden gem. We do girls' trips all over for wine and highly recommend Gateway Cellars! We tried all their Sweet wines and not one of them was bad. The owner is fabulous and adds even more to the tasting experience. You can not only by taste that he puts his heart into every bottle, but you can feel it in the whole atmosphere!

I stopped at Gateway Winery while in town for a work trip. I had a great visit with the owner, learned about the Gateway Winery story, enjoyed the warm, inviting atmosphere, and didn’t taste a wine I didn’t appreciate. I will definitely be back next time I’m in Elkhart!
