“I've been a patron of Hacienda on First Avenue in Evansville IN for43 years! This restaurant is as close to authentic Mexican cuisine in Evansville, in my opinion.
The only reason for the 4-star rating for the atmosphere is that I prefer smaller or cozy dining areas. Being older in age, dining with families with children is difficult for my husband and I to have a conversation.
We usually start our meal with a fountain drink and chili con queso. The chips are thin and lightly salted. They are sturdy enough for the cheese dip, however. They offer two sizes of dip, a cup, or a bowl. This is nice based on what your entree will be.
We are creatures of habit with regard to our meal choices, but we always look at the wide variety of appetizers, salads, and entrées. Hacienda offers new menu items often, which our daughter enjoys trying. She has never been dissaentrée.
I highly recommend this restaurant on First Avenue as well as the east side location
Wheelchair accessibility: The spacing of the doors will accommodate standard wheelchairs. Neither location needs ramps.“

“We eat here at least once a week. My husband loves the Wet Burrito, but the Original Taco is my favorite. We always sit in the bar area since it is quieter, and we love the patio area. Great service, good food, decent prices, and portions are enough that if you walk out hungry you have nobody to blame but yourself. Love the complimentary chips to munch on while you wait. They have salsa to go with the chips or nacho cheese dip if you ask for it. I wish they had different salsas. My son-in-law likes his salsa hot enough to put blisters in his mouth, but I can’t stand even the mild like they have here. It would be nice to have different levels of heat. But I love it anyway and as I said, we go sometimes two or three times in a week. So yeah, I highly recommend it!“

“My husband and I both ordered the moe meat, moe cheese bowl. We added olives, onion and sour cream. The food was delicious. The staff was all very friendly and even with people in front of us there was really no waiting. They get you threw to the next person to add the next ingredients. Bowels are served with their chips. They also have a little bar of salsas and sauces by the drink and condiments area. The sweet tea wasnt to good though. It was sweet but had a funny taste to it.“

“We love agaves but have had multiple meals messed up due to the people answering the phone. Getting the meals wrong, charging too much, etc.“

“Food & service were great. Atmosphere was good. Country music was played, but I thought it was a little too loud.
Parking: There's plenty of free parking on their lot
Kid-friendliness: Tumbleweed is a bar & grill restaurant. However, it is mostly kid-friendly.
Wheelchair accessibility: Only two handicap parking spaces directly in front of the entrance. However, there are a dozen or more spaces that are fairly close to the entrance.“

“I went here a few weeks ago and I was wanting a taco salad without the lettuces but I wanted peppers and the veggies like with the Fajitos. The manager there was so nice in helping me get what I wanted and she wasn't rude about me being so picky on my order.“
