We are visiting family in Evansville and decided to have breakfast at The Diner by Mel’s. We love to patronize restaurants that are not part of big national chains, and this restaurant is cute and friendly. I asked for the vegetarian omelette to be made with egg whites which they did, and it was very good.
We both liked our meals, and we were impressed by the very friendly and welcoming staff.

Food and service was great. Nothing better than pork chilaquiles for breakfast after a long night.
