“This place has the most unique drinks in Fort Wayne with the most knowledgeable bartenders. And they don't mind when you ask a million questions about ever drink they make. Tonight my favorite was the Songbird and the hubby loved the Si gorilla.“

“While in Ft. Wayne I was looking for a breakfast place on Google & found a place that looked like they had several healthy options. My wife's diet is extremely limited, for health reasons, so I figured this would be right up our alley.. & it was 5 minutes away. PERFECT. It was called A Divine Encounter Café & the food was deliscious, but the experience was like none that I've ever had at any restaurant before. We were met with a warm greeting from Miss Betty & immediately felt right at home. She began sharing her testimony about how overcoming drug addiction through her faith led her to opening the restaurant. Once sober she felt better putting healthy food in her body & wanted to make healthy food available for others. She also told us that she provided work opportunities for others that were down on their luck & needed a fresh start getting on their feet. She had our undivided attention with her story, but politely excused herself because the longer we talked, the longer we'd have to wait on our food.. she was also the cook! Our dishes came out in little to no time, but were definitely worth the wait. Everything was hot, fresh, & delicious. After we ate, Miss Betty introduced us to a few others that were still in the Café, & before we all left.. she gathered us together for a prayer before we all headed out in our different directions. I'm not sure when I'll be in Ft. Wayne again, but whenever it may be.. I'll be stopping in Miss Betty's Café for another Divine Encounter.“

“First time visit, there was only two other customers when I arrived (both seated already) I was asking about flavors and looking at the ‘menu’ and the worker pointed to a sign and said these are all the flavors. Ok. Continued to look at the menu, which has so many combos that looked sooo delicious I could have took an hour to decide! I went with the chocolate chip mint (leprechaun something or other) Staff said pick up over there and walked away. I sat down to wait because I wasn’t exactly sure where over there was. Few seconds later the other worker tossed a drink onto the counter and walked away. I looked around and no one else was waiting so I assumed it was mine, got it and left. The drink was large and full to the top. Flavoring was light, and I didn’t care for the baby chocolate chips but it was as advertised. The price for a large drink was almost $10 which is a little steep for me, most likely won’t be back unless I have some kind of coupon and I’ll probably get it through the app since I felt ignored inside as it was.“

Of course,I brought along my miir espresso tumbler with the logo of another local coffee joint; in my mind, they're friends that share secrets. This place has tons of fun options and
the relaxed and casual atmosphere is a nice break from a busy day. The music is soft and low, the air is nice and cool, and the coffee is perfection. They need their own cup and I want to collect it and a reduction in price, like is offered at 9th Street Brew in Auburn, would be a lovely addition to the menu.“

“Classic American sugar driven coffee spot, lots of menu options with some original ideas like the Ghost Pumpkin! Very tasty but swimming in diabetus - odd considering I even went for macadamia milk instead of the cow's milk which would have added even more sugar. My other buddies went for lesser sweet stuff and seemed to enjoy it more. Staff is very polite, great location, a good area for relaxing and working on papers, and overall easy to recommend for the FW coffee scene!“

“I thunk these folks do a great job . on this particular Sunday, the first day of daylight savings time changes business patterns so it seems everyone goes to breakfast at the same time so places get very very busy , You take a look around and see all the people that are ordering basically at the same time and wonder why it takes a little linger , per my experience it may take a bit longer but I didn't mind because the food was delicious.“

But is that what I got? Also no.

Was it suitable as a light meal while on a road trip to a place with better food? Debatable.

Will I return to this, or any, Panera Bread again? Likely yes, as all Americans must, at some point.“
