Fabulous food and service from Mimi . We enjoyed tomato juice, that was invented at French Lick as well as all the Kentucky Derby winning horse photos . Ceaser salad was fab as.was the salmon, the Korean bbq meatballs. Mimi also brought chocolate strawberries in recognition of Cathy's birthday to which we added the chocolate decadence cake( to die for and luckily survived). A highlight of the journey to French Lick!
We love going to French Lick and one of the things we always look forward to is 1875 Steakhouse. We have been blessed to eat at many fine restaurants but this is my husband's favorite. We already have another trip planned for Christmas time.
The steaks were seasoned well & delicious-more medium rare than as ordered at medium but still very tasty. Baked potato was fluffy & hot and large enough to share. Our server Shelly was great but apologetic to tell us no sour cream available for our potato and her helper failed to refill water glasses. Shelly was busy with a very loud large table seated in the middle of the dining room but still gave us good service. Now the bartender—my husband requested a single large...
