My wife and I eat there about once a month. Their pancakes and waffles are definitely the best in NE Indiana. I rate their biscuits and sausage gravy as outstanding and order them every time we eat there. Of course I order several sides and take enough home to enjoy a hearty breakfast the next day. It is a family owned restaurant in downtown Garrett, offering fast and friendly service with pricing that is right. The pancakes are exactly what pancakes are supposed to be—fluffy, golden, and cooked to perfection. Breakfast classics are done right, and the Omelets are very light and fluffy eggs. The food is great, and the staff is attentive, fast, and genuinely kind, greeting customers with warm smiles. The vibe is small town downtown, with an old-school diner warmth. The building itself is not the best and does smell a little like a very old building, but the food is great as well as the staff. The restaurant is a reliable, no-nonsense place that delivers every single time. It is highly recommended for a real meal and real hospitality.
