The food is wonderful, but I really did not appreciate the live music that was so loud I couldn't talk with my dining partner.
The bacon wrapped date appetizer was delicious. (One of their most popular choices. ) The 2 in thick filet is unsurpassed!

Our family celebrated a special birthday and couldn’t have asked for a better place to enjoy a meal together! Shelly took such great care of us, offering drink and meal recommendations, checking on us frequently and making us feel so special! The food was phenomenal and we look forward to visiting again and trying more innovative choices!

Food and service was great, as expected! Not a fan of the seating. Also, the entry lights are seemingly motion censored, I found that to be distracting.

Food was fantastic this time. Dishes that stood out were the roasted grape and pear salad, the whipped feta, and the tuna on fried rice. But the star of the evening was the Korean Bi Bim Bap. I’m giving the restaurant a 4.5 because of the dessert and drink prices. We shared a slice of pumpkin cheesecake. At $16 for a single slice we assumed it would be a large slice of cheesecake. Instead it was a thin slice of cheesecake that was gone in about 4 bites. We normally order a few drinks when we go out but the drink prices are about double the price of some of our favorite restaurants so we passed on those.

After settling into our new neighborhood, we were eager to experience Kelly Jae's, a restaurant that had garnered a wealth of positive feedback. Regrettably, our experience did not match the commendations we had heard. We made a reservation a day in advance, but upon arriving at the restaurant, we were directed to seats at the bar to accommodate a large party. We immediately expressed our disappointment, having anticipated a more private dining setting. The constant chatter and banter from the bar staff made it challenging to enjoy our meal and engage in a quiet conversation. The hostess's apology and explanation for our seating did little to assuage our growing dissatisfaction.Intriguingly, another couple who entered shortly after us voiced their concerns when they were ushered to the bar seating. Unlike us, after their vocal complaints, they were provided with table seating. When we inquired with the hostess about the disparity in treatment and asked if we hadn't been vocal enough in our complaints, her response was startlingly candid: "Yeah, you didn't complain enough." This incident not only showcased the inconsistent service but also raised questions about their reservation protocol. On the brighter side, we did enjoy the crab cakes and the Blueberry Bourbon Sour drinks. However, as we progressed through our dinner, we found the steaks, though cooked as requested, lacked proper seasoning. Given the hefty bill, our overall experience was less than pleasing.Additionally, the reason provided for our bar seating (to make space for a larger party) eerily echoed an explanation given in a review by Donyel Byrd just the week before. Such repeated issues, coupled with similar justifications, hint at underlying management challenges. To conclude, our first visit to Kelly Jae's was overshadowed by multiple disappointments. The high price, in particular, stood in stark contrast to the quality of our experience. Sadly, a return visit isn't on our agenda.

We have eaten at this restaurant several times. We love the food. We know it is hard to get a table. Reservations were required in the past. Knowing this, we reserved our table and arrived 5 minutes before our reservation. Instead of being given a table, a walk-in party was seated before us at the only available table. Another couple before us had a reservation as well and were unhappily seated at the bar. We were told the only option for our party was to sit at the bar and that due to a large 40 person group they had to juggle things around. Also, I “must not know how they operate there”. In my reservation request, I specified a low top table was necessary. No apology, no offer for us to wait for another table. We were incredibly disappointed, as it was a special occasion and folks in our party had already been excited about our menu choices. Thankfully, we were able to get a table at the Oakwood. Excellent food and excellent service there. Kelly Jae’s you can and should do better! I never leave bad reviews. But this one is deserved.

Had an excellent dining experience with family tonight! All of the cocktails are fantastic but the best was the the Blueberry Bourbon Sour. The ice cube is made with a special limoncello and fruit mixture that elevates the flavors as you drink. If you’re in the mood for small bites there’s about no way that you can can go wrong. The Brie and apricot is airy and refreshing. The Crab and Manchego dip was the winner for me though. A divine combination of lumpy crab and hot cheese on top of their signature crostinis (even a picky eater will want an order of bread!).As an entree the filet is cooked to perfection and was tender and flavorful. The shrimp risotto also is some of the best that I have ever had. If you’re still not full, I would suggest the four cheese pasta or the chocolate layered cake. Both excellent by their own right. The service was incomparable as every staff member was attending to our needs instantly. If you haven’t checked this place you should make a reservation! This is one of those rare gems in the area!

I wish I could give zero stars we spent over $400 for our meals with 5 people. Our friend received her meal with a BUG on her plate. The staff were rude and dismissive when we made them aware. We were appalled at their response that the said the food is organic and they cannot control when that happens and it happens frequently. They never offered to comp a meal or a dessert and just made excuses for the lack of professionalism from the kitchen staff and servers to address or acknowledge the fact there was a BUG on the plate. They said, as we received the bill that they did not charge us for remaking of the meal. It was not moving so it was not hiding under organic food. It was in plain sight. Totally disgusting and I will not be back. BUGS in food, please do not waste your money
