“A blast to the past!! We love the hometown vibes of Hot Dogs Plus. The people are real, no sugar coating. The hot dogs had a pleasant snap when we bit in, toppings were generous and perfect. We had a chocolate and a vanilla malt, both to die for!! Their vanilla malt is now my favorite. I love supporting family owned businesses and this one has my heart. “There are three of us who each live 2 hours away who meet at Angelo's once every three months to catch up. We talk, have breakfast and relax. We are always treated so well by our servers, given great service and food, and allowed to spend some time. Today, our server Ruth was awesome! Portions are generous, taste great, and are reasonable. “If you're up in Northern Indiana near Goshen then stop by Heinnie's....and you may want to get there early because when we showed up at 4:30p on a Saturday night the wait was 60 minutes. It was worth the wait! We got on the list and then sat in our truck until GO time. One of their specialties is the fried chicken and it's fantastic! I grew up on a farm. Both my mom and grandma had their recipes of fixin' (yeah fixing') fried chicken so I know good fried chicken and this is awesome! The cup of house made chili was really good and the sampler platter for the appetizer was well done. Did I tell you the chicken was some of the best I've had? My kiddo had the pork tenderloin and it came out in true Indiana fashion, IYKYK. I had a sample of the half she couldn't eat and again, fantastic. For the four of us to have drinks (sodas), two beers, three entrees (2 split the chicken because it's half a chicken), two beers, soups, salads, and the sampler platter it all came to $102 including the tip. I tip well because I used to be a server, they did a great job, and I'm not cheap. ;-) BTW, we paid at the table as all the servers have the mobile devices for payment. Many simple things done very very well...especially the fried chicken. P.S. I hear the prime rib is especially good, but I'll have to save that for next time.“
“We saw a picture of a great burger and decided this place was a must. When driving up the to restaurant it sits in a strip mall. The exterior gave off "maybe not" vibes. Walking in it has a divey comfortable feel. And it did deliver. We started with some wings and stuffed potato skins. Also a couple of beers. That day domestic on tap beers were $5. The potato skins were huge! The wings were solid. After the potato skins and wings it's was too much. We never ordered entrees. So you know what that means, we have to return. And what a return.. it was trivia night. But you better make a reservation for that. Good food, great appetizers and nice beer selection. The staff was the best! We enjoyed this place.“
“The waitress we had was fabulous with my daughter . I told both ladies about her food allergies and the owner I believe went and looked at the ingredients for me to make sure my daughter could have the food- I was so happy and relieved since usually she can’t eat at certain places because they have no idea what ingredients they have. “I have always heard stories of how great this place was so I am glad I finally got to see for myself. Me and my girlfriend walked right on in and was greeted in the most comforting way. The atmosphere was very homey so I knew it'd be a excellent experience. Our waitress was Vicky and she was on it! Me and my girlfriend got the French toast breakfast I am made I didn't take a picture but we were way to anxious to see if it was as good as it looked....IT WAS. “My wife and I came to the Linden for a late lunch. My wife had catfish and I had a double cheeseburger. The burger was outstanding, one of the best I've had in a long time. My wife said the catfish was excellent too. The service was great also.“
“Always consistent with its amazing service and food. Definitely our go to place even with our child with special needs. Manager went out of his way to make our day and he didn't even know it. We're always so afraid to take our child to a sit down restaurant because he has melt downs. Those are no fun for us nor people around us. But when staff sees small kids they move a little more swiftly and it's appreciated.“
