“It's clean, the wait staff is well-trained and well-mannered, and the food is tasty and well-prepared. It's a family business, and one of the owners is usually present. I have never had an unpleasant experience in any of their three locations in NW Indiana (Highland, Schererville, Merrillville). Prices are decent; what one would expect to pay for a better-than-average breakfast and lunch venue, but not too costly. Try it. You'll like it!“

“We were a group of 9; 6 adults & 3 children looking for a more sit-down place to eat when the owner talked us into staying telling us we would not be disappointed, and we were not. Their menu had a huge variety of food to choose from, and all of us thought the food was great! I had French toast, hash browns & sausage. My husband had an awesome shrimp omlette that had more shrimp on it than anywhere else we have ever eaten that put shrimp in its breakfast. And even thought it was all packagesd as take out, there were three tables available to sit and eat. It worked for us! Great job S&G! It's a well-earned 5 star review!“

“I was traveling through Crown Point and was blessed to have parked across the street from here. From the moment I walked in to the moment I started my 5 hour drive back home I was greatly impressed. The owner, the staff, the amazingly delicious offerings... I don't travel this way often but even when close I will be sure to take the time to come back. My only advice... “First time Golden Bear in Lansing. The food and service was great. However, when I checked my bank account I was charged $9.98 more then the amount on the receipt I received from the register. When I went back the manager was very nice & helpful. She refunded the $. The restaurant receipt had the same amount. I pulled up my bank account & showed her the amount from my bank. We both thought it was so strange! Maybe the register malfunctioned? Again the manager was awesome!“

“Great value and even better service. Ordered the Indiana Skillet w/pancakes. It was enormous and delicious, served quickly, and the server was incredibly attentive and friendly. The server provided all of extras, as well; butters, jams, condiments, coffee creamers up front, and kept the coffees and water glasses full. Truly a great experience. I am looking forward to head back soon.“

“I haven't been here in like 7 years, but I can remember great things about this place. (the reason I haven't been here in 7 years is because I live about 45 minutes away.) any free time I have, I will return for an awesome breakfast here!“

“Soon as my husband and I walked in the door we were greeted with a smile and the waiter seated us right away. Then the young lady with the pretty braids was our server and she was professional and pleasant as well. What blew my mind was that another woman who was not our server came over and ask if we needed anything.The food was good and the staff was attentive. I will definitely go back.“

“Food is usually pretty good here. Service during the day is good but if you go in late at night, just be prepared to wait 30+ minutes for your check or Togo boxes. Portion sizes are decent. Nice selection of desserts in the front. Bathrooms are taken care of pretty well.“
