Was really good only complaints are the miso soup was really salty and the seaweed was tough this time I've been there before and i was good last time and the strawberry milk tea, it tasted different. Not really bad, just different.

Relaxing environment with a great selection of delicious food!

Absolutely great TV screens with various cooling methods displayed. A nice change from sports and news while having a relaxing meal.

Service was a bit slow but I believe the waitress hesitated as we were scanning the menu. Lots of sushi options.

Their godzilla roll is good, and I enjoyed the fresh fruit green tea I got as well. The service was fantastic - attentive, quick, and welcoming. The restaurant itself feels a little bit dirty though, which is why I am giving it a 4 star rating. It is outdated, and our table still had some crumbs on it from the previous patron.

They do not have the grill tables where they cook in front of you. Food pretty good. Would definitely go back. Good portion I thought.

My husband and I just ordered delivery. I ordered the New York Strip and vegetables hibachi dinner, and my husband ordered the New York Strip Teriyaki Bento dinner. With tip, we paid $60. Neither one of us could eat our steak. We both ordered medium rare. The meat was super squishy feeling and hard to chew. I tried a few pieces, and ended up spitting them out and feeding them to the dog. Upon looking closer, I realized the inside of the meat was literally dark purple. I'm not sure if the issue was only how undercooked it was, but it did not have the texture of steak to me at all. Usually I love ordering from Yamato's, but tonight I can only think of the $60 I spent for food I couldn't stand to eat. I don't think I'll be ordering again for a while. SUPER disappointed 😞

I enjoyed my recent visit to Yamato steak house. They service was great and the food was good. I really liked the steak teriyaki platter. The rice was really good and I liked the spring roll too. The white tuna sushi was ok, not the best I’ve had but not the bad either. Overall I recommend giving this place a visit if your in the area.

Both times ordered the bento box dinner . Chicken was delicious the CA rolls were delicious. Sushi rolls are big and filling! Close to SoCAL food!

New Yamato is a very nice, quiet, and elegant sit down style Japanese restaurant. Their decor is nice and peaceful, the staff was inviting and very nice. We had the Teriyaki Chicken dinner (bento) and it was a lot of food. From the ginger side salad and miso soup, you get a generous amount of chicken, rice, vegetables, and sushi. My wife and I were very pleased and full before we left. Highly recommend!

Super kawaii vibe of interior makes you feel as if you got Lost In Translation somewhere in winding Tokio street ... just wish they were surving green tea in Japanese cups and kettles ♡
