I was disappointed with the service at Ascend. When I walked in, I noticed two employees were talking to a customer at the bar. When the employee took my order, it came off as if she was annoyed that I interrupted their conversation. After she took my order she went right back to the conversation they were having. The employees just conversed among themselves while making the drink and didn’t engage with me at all, which was disappointing for my first(and last) visit. I didn’t get the inviting feeling that everyone else raved about in the reviews.

Finally!!!! This is a cafe designed for you to sit and relax. There is comfortable seating, accessible outlets and lots of natural light. There are tables outdoors as well. The drinks are delicious. They have pastries that you can watch being prepared from scratch as they craft your drink. This is what I remember cafes being like.

Ascend coffee is amazing!! The coffee is SO GOOD, the pastries are delicious, and the staff are all so kind! I appreciate that they have house made syrups and use clean ingredients👏🏼👏🏼 my favorite coffee shop in Indy!!
The most incredible coffee shop! They make all of their coffee/tea syrups and pastries IN HOUSE! Their almond croissant is to die for and their seasonal syrups are always so so good. Try the banana syrup - made with ACTUAL bananas! Plus, the staff is extremely friendly. Highly recommend!
